From Mozart to Stevie Ray, Jim and Sylvia are the absolute best. We were thrilled with their performance, beginning with lovely chords played through the ceremony to their winding through the tables at the reception, they filled the room with lovely background music and also accepted special requests. We could have not made a better choice for our daughter's wedding. Everyone remarked on how wonderful the music was; they provided the relaxed but elegant affair we had hoped for. The range of their music ability is amazing. Thank you Jim and Sylvia!

Jim and Sylvia were great! I have to admit that I was skeptical due to only viewing them online. But I was quickly relieved, and found them to be fabulous! They arrived on time, were very accomedating, flexible, and very nice. They played an excellent variety of music which all of the guests enjoyed. Even now, I am still recieving compliments on the music choice and the ambiance that their music created. Thank you so much Jim and Sylvia, I would recommend your music to anyone!

Jim and Sylvia travelled down to Kentucky on a very stormy night from Northern Ohio. We host an annual Derby Eve/Fiesta Party the first Friday of May. Jim and Sylvia accomodated us with Mariachi, Bluegrass and Country music. They even took requests and played a little jazz and swing for the guests. Because of the bad weather, they were unable to "plug-in" outdoors, and instead took to walking around the party playing to small groups of guests. They both wore authentic Mariachi costumes and were very professional. I would definitely hire them again.

I was suprised how fast that they had responded back to me after I put my request in. Jim & Sylvia Kalal are very talented performers. After the event I had numorous comments about how much the students at Kent State University enjoyed their performance. I was very pleased with the whole thing and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Jim and Sylvia were very professional and dressed for the occasion (Spanish Tapas and Wine dinner) and everyone was impressed with their talent. They moved from table to table playing flamenco guitar and our guests were mesmerized by their guitar skills. I would highly recommend Jim and Sylvia. They were very pleasant, always smiling and interesting to talk to.

Jim and Sylvia arrived on time prepared to entertain at our Fiesta wearing proper costume and playing appropriate music. They walked through the dining area strumming guitars and adding color and flavor to our celebration. I would certainly hire them again.

Jim & Sylvia were just what I was looking for, they entertained the crowd and tried to accomodate all requests if and when possible. They are very tallented guitar players and were tight instrumentally, however vocals were less impressive. Nevertheless, Jim's style worked well with the genre they were playing, which was mexican meriachi. Much of dinner music was background with no vocals so that did not matter much. Jim and Sylvia were professional and prompt. They delivered a good show based on what my needs were for a small (40 person) dinner party. tHERE WERE UTERLY DISSAPOINTING! They played all the music at the wrong time at my ceremony. They didn't play my processional till i was at the front of the alter. That is something I will never get back. They did not play for the amount i paid for. They ate food that was not for them. Over paid and underplayed.

We did an excellent job for Rachel as acknowledged by her singer who we accompanied, and also her father. We worked hard on accommodating all her special requests and performed it with a lot of professionalism and beauty. Even transposed the key to accommodate the singer and arrived 1 1/2 hr early to rehearse with her. We segued between music selections in a way that provided continuity. We feel it would have been very untasteful, aesthetically speaking, to bring a phrase to an abrupt end. We had a verbal agreement from Rachel to join in for prime rib dinner. We never had ANY dinner. They turned us away and sent us home saying verbal agreement doesn't count!

I cannot say enough about James and Sylvia. They played beautifully for our reception. Even the kids loved the "jazz". They played latin, flamenco and even Led Zeplin's Stairway to Heaven. They were both very pleasant and travelled from Jacksonville to Jekyll Island for our reception. We could not be happier to have James and Sylvia play at our reception. Our guests were thrilled and absolutely loved the music. Very classy. Some said this was the most beautiful reception they had been at. I highly recommend James and Sylvia for your wedding if you want something different than a DJ. They made our reception very special. Thanks to both.
