We felt so privileged to have John and bassist Mike perform at our cocktail hour. They really set the mood for the entire night, and were consummate professionals the entire time. We gave them a very broad genre to play from (jazz / ragtime), and they came with a complete set list of amazing music for us and our guests to enjoy. John also mailed us the most beautiful note the day after our wedding wishing us well and recounting his favorite memories from the night. John went above and beyond during all parts of our planning process with him, and during the event itself. We would very highly recommend him to anyone we know.

We hired John to play for the cocktail hour of our wedding reception. Several guests commented they enjoyed listening to him and wished there was a stool nearby to pull up to the piano so they could sit and listen to him. John was extremely professional, organized, prompt, and above all a pleasure to deal with. I would gladly hire him again.

John was great! We booked him for the cocktail hour of our wedding at Omni Parker House. His professionalisam was amazing. He provided his own piano (as the venue didn't have one) and made sure to dress in 'formal' attire. I called John to confirm the week before and then we had no contact until the day of our wedding. When our bridal party showed up halfway through the cocktail hour we were greeted by wonderful jazzy, piano music! I made sure to introduce myself to John and thank him for being so professional and dependable and he welcomed me with a hug and a "Congratulations". He was a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend him!

John D'Ambrosio is an extremely talented man who was absolutely accommodating to every need at our party. There were people from their teens and into their nineties, and John played a variety of pieces which more than accommodated all our guests. We could not have been more pleased with John. He barely took a break and played straight for 4 1/2 hours. He was a huge asset to our celebration, and it is our hope to hire him again for future events. Honestly, I felt so lucky that I'd chosen John from the list suggested on this website! I hired him to play at my mother's 60th birthday party. Not only did he arrive at the restaurant before I did and was set-up and ready to go, he is SO talented. Everyone at the party commented on how much they enjoyed the music.
We had arranged for John to play from 7:00 - 10:00, and when the party kept going, so did John. He played until 11:00 and chose songs that were a perfect fit for the mood at the party. I really can't say enough good things!

The night of our party Boston got a blizzard, but our party was still going to happen. Even though, I would have understood if John cancelled he still came. Not only was he friendly and professional, but he played beautifully.

The thing I liked most was that I didn't have to worry about anything. From the moment I booked the event to the end of the evening John took care of everything having to do with the music which left me to concentrate on other details and my guests.

It was a pleasure to meet John and we had a great party, thanks to his talent and help. He was very amenable to song suggestions and could play everything we asked for. The anniversary couple was very pleased with him and I know all of the head table had a great time singing all the old songs.

My siblings and I hired John for a 75th birthday party for my mom on the Cape. He was very thoughtful in discussing our wishes and requests for this party, called me about 2 weeks prior to the event to "dot the i's" and cross the t's". We hired John to play at a 50th anniversary party. We had a list of songs that we knew the couple liked, and he said he could play them and many other similar songs. He arrived a bit early to set up his keyboard (the place we were at did not have a piano) and was playing as guests arrived. We had asked that he play quiet background music. He did just this. After the meal it seemed that the guests were ready for something a bit more, and he slowly included more up-beat lively music. At one point some guests started to hum or sing softly and he passed out lyric books! It was wonderful - one song after another that the "older folks" knew and loved and they could sing along.
Everyone had a grand time. It would not have been the same without John - he made the evening flow and come together. When he evening was over and we were handing him back the lyric books he said the anniversary couple could keep them - they were so tickled; I strongly believe that was their best present of the night!
By the way, the songs he played were perfect - the older folks said they recognized every one of them!
We definitely would hire John again for any sort of occasion and do not hesitate in the least to recommend him.
