I would not recommend this dj to anyone. The equipment stopped working a few hours before our wedding reception was over. The dj did not know how to fix it, so my brother had to step in and help. It was fixed for a little while, then broke again. My husband's friend brought in his bookbag that had speakers on it and we listened to music on that. We are very dissatisfied and expect a total refund.

We were very pleased with Steve - He met with us before the event and did everything we asked of him. He kept the music quiet during dinner and then inceased the volume and type of music when appropriate. He played any and all requests and was very professional. This was a 50th High School reunion and he even dressed in our school colors. He did a very good job and we would not hesitate to use him again.

Richard was easy to communicate with during the intial set-up, Steve followed through on that and continued the easy process. He arrived in plenty of time (actually beat half of us to the venue). He was very accomodating as far as the night's schedule went and played well to the crowd. The video screen was an excellent addition (we had an 80s theme) and Steve was able to fill the entire dancing sections of the night with music videos to go along with the music. Would highly recommend Academy DJs and specifically Steve Cigany.

Jake was wonderful! The need to hire a DJ for our Commitment Ceremony came relatively late in the game - about a week before the event, and Jake, on behalf of Academy DJ's absolutely took care of us! He managed the flow of music and events so that we didn't have to do a thing. Our guests raved about how they didn't stop dancing all night! A few of them brought the house down with us, and left when the reception ended at midnight! I'd encourage anyone who has the opportunity to do so,to do business with Academy DJ's. With all aspects of our experience - from the necessary business transactions, to the actual management of our reception - we were VERY pleased.

Richard was great. We did not have a playlist, just asked him to play a specific genre. He stuck to the genre until we informed him that it was okay to do otherwise. He was pleasant to talk to, very personable as well as professional.

Steve was professional from the get-go. He maintained open communication channels before the wedding and was very accommodating the day of the event. Overall I was very pleased with David. Our wedding planner was a no show the day of the wedding and he listened to a lot of different people trying to fill the void. It was a difficult situation for him. Our wedding party even arrived late and was willing to stay later to help out the evening. The above rating scale is the average score from the wedding party, bride and groom, friends and family.

Our DJ was very nice but lacked experience in keeping the kids involved in the dance room. Even with a dancer they just wandered. I don't think the sound system was loud enough. He did do kareoke near the end which did spark the kids interests but by then many were doing other things. Also the photo booth was great but there was no sign or very lttle acknowledgement that it was there, many kids missed it. I think he has talent but needs to have better ability with young teens. Pat was just a pleasure to work with. He is truly a professional DJ and knows how to get a group moving. The quality of the sound was awesome and spanned a large outdoor area. He helped to facilitate games for the children and karaoke. He made our party a huge success. I would definitely look for him again if I was hosting another event

we loved our djs, they were super friendly w. All our guests and very accomodating. We were able to change things right on the spot or w. Very short notice and they just rolled w. It and made it work! Would definitely use again and recommend to our friends. They thought of things that we wouldn't have and played the perfect music throughout the evening for every scenario! Very pleased!
