From our 1st contact with Lara our experience was perfect. She was so responsive and helpful in selecting our music. The trio's music during the wedding was beautiful and they were so flexible and accommodating when we wanted them to stay and play the hora efore our dinner began. We would give them 10 stars! If you hire them you will not be disappointed. They are very professional and take a lot of pride in their work.

We have been extremely pleased with the Amethyst Trio that we booked for our daughter's wedding about a week ago. They have been very professional and accommodating to all our needs (for example, we've asked Lara to switch from playing the harp during the ceremony to play the piano during the cocktail hour and she accepted gracefully). They have a large repertoire of not only classical pieces, but jazz and lighter music, so no problem for them to play pretty much anything you want. They were a delight to deal with and were much appreciated by our guests. After all, there must be a reason why they are booked at least 6 months in advance! I would highly recommend them!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 9, 2015From Half Moon Bay, CA

We hired Amethyst Trio for our wedding this past November and my husband and I were beyond happy from their professional and the music were absolutely amazing. Their communication before the event was very great, they always got back to us right away, answered questions and explained the process. When the day came, they knew exactly what to do. They were also very friendly and easy to work with. I would very much recommend them and would hire them again!

I am so glad my now husband found the Amethyst Trio! Our wedding guests loved them before our ceremony, during our cocktail hour, and dinner time. We loved them as well. Not only were they professional throughout the process, but their sound/song selection pleased all ages. They are one vendor I am 200% happy with, no regrets, and I hope To attend events in the future where they are playing!

Do not hesitate about booking the Amethyst trio! I was so pleasantly surprised by the talent of the three I had at my wedding recently! I had Lara on the piano and two gentlemen, one on violin and one on cello. They far exceeded my expectations!! It was so worth it to pay a little extra for live music for my ceremony and cocktail hour. Definitely added to the experience and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you for helping make it a perfect wedding!!

Amethyst Trio performed beautifully for our outdoor wedding. Everything we asked for was perfectly played as requested in our ceremony timeline. The Trio's sample music you hear on GigMaster will be what you get or better. Thank you very much to Lara Garner and your fellow musicians.

Lara was extremely responsive throughout the planning process of my daughter's wedding. The trio did a great job and played our music selections beautifully. They even palyed some delicate background music during some quieter parts of the ceremony. Lara was a pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on June 6, 2011From Livermore, CA

The Amethyst Trio (quartet for our wedding) were absolutely outstanding! They helped make our ceremony emotional and beautiful. Lara arranged a piece from 'LOST' to be played during our processional, which turned out wonderful and beyond my expectations. They also accompanied one of my groomsman as he sang Jason Mraz's 'I'm Yours' while my bride and I walked down the aisle at the end of the ceremony. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderfully talented group of people to play at my wedding! Thank you so much for making our day PERFECT!!! =)

Amethyst Trio was incredible. They were right on time and the music was so wonderful. My daughter had wanted a special song played at the wedding and they not only learned the song, they also suggested a soloist to sing the song. Would absolutely recommend them and use them again!! Thank you again Amethyst Trio for everything!!

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on October 14, 2010From San Francisco, CA

The Amethyst Trio played for our wedding on 10/3/2010 in an outdoor ceremony in San Francisco. They did a fantastic job from beginning to end. Lara, the contact person for the group who plays the harp and also piano, was very responsive and great to work with in the planning stages. She helped me pick some of the music - the combination of pieces for the ceremony worked really well together. I got many compliments on the ceremony music from guests. The music was beautiful, sounded effortless, and helped make the ceremony fit together. I highly recommend this group.

Brilliant performance! Everyone loved them! Amethyst trio are professional, friendly, well-dressed and incredibly talented! Their music and attitude were just what was needed for us. They really went out of their way to make the evening run smoothly and to create the perfect atmosphere for us with their lovely music and lovely personalities. I can't say enough good things about this group and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants both great music and an enjoyable, stress-free experience.

Wedding CeremonyReviewed on August 30, 2010From Kenwood, CA

The Amethyst Trio was an amazing group to work with! We hired the pianist and violinist for our August wedding in Sonoma to play for one hour during the ceremony. They were both wonderful to work with from the beginning - very prompt, answered all of our questions and worked closely with us on all of the specific songs that we wanted during the ceremony. They were timely and very nice to work with and have at our wedding - the music was so beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better musicians on our special day. I'd highly recommend working with the Amethyst Trio for your wedding or special event!

FuneralReviewed on February 17, 2012From Walnut Creek, CA

Amethyst trio were excellent. I hired them for a memorial service. My father enjoyed the violin, and I wanted to have a nice violin piece during the service. They were able to provide multiple suggestions for the piece - we chose the Vivaldi Winter Largo section. They were on time and played while people were coming in. When it came to the piece in the middle of the memorial, there was a mixup with the funeral parlor and they started a video during the piece. The group took it in and even extended their music since the video went long. I received many compliments from attendees saying that they really enjoyed the music.
