While we appreciate the bride's high ratings and compliments, I did inquire with her about her negative comments, which she apologized for. I reminded her that I had the contract in my hand when I greeted her at the church. I find later she was disgruntled because I had misplaced the signed original 6 months prior. I had the unsigned original, AND made the arrangements 6 months in advance to get a signed copy for MY protection. I asked if paid, not for payment. Didn't look, in a hurry to start on time. I also mark "PAID" on my contracts when brides pay in advance. Brides should understand musicians are human, but there were no mistakes here, or unorganization.Review by Sandi J.

Our client was very nice and pleasant to work with. She told us at the end she was pleased and we did a good job. It was unfortunate for her that the venue wasn't ready for her function, and that the minister didn't turn on the microphone, and that it was raining. I believe I told her beforehand that we needed a covering from the elements. My cellist and I are in the Union, and arrived 15 minutes early. Our violist got there 3 minutes before due to bad weather. What made us late was that we had to stop and move into the pavilion because the wind was knocking our music stands over. Birdseye view, it all went quite well, considering the wind and rain.Review by Meshelle M.

We took 3 breaks that were agreed to in our contract. The breaks were 10 minutes, and may have gone over by two minutes because there were other people in the restroom. We only took time to change our music, or take requests from guests. All 3 performers synchronized watches on breaks to make sure we got back on time. I believe the fact that they didn't have piped in music to play while we were on break made it seem like we weren't playing. We were on time, played what was requested, and did a good job. Although this client may not refer us to a friend, we hope that they would at least raise the ratings to a 3, so as not to give us a negative rating on Gigmasters.Review by Amanda Jo E.

Sometimes, BIG mis-understandings happen. I never threatened to stop playing. The co-ordinator heard one of my members suggest to stop playing until we got paid so she could leave on time for an appointment. Because the bride locked the check in a room, she had to write a new one, accidentally writing a wrong name. I had her initial it to avoid writing a new one. The contract also stated that the balance was due at 6pm. We played until 6:30, and didn't get paid until 6:15. We never stop playing until the end of contracted time. It's unfair that the brides anger over a misinterpretation of what happened clouds her thougts for an honest, fair rating.Review by Marilee L.

This is my 6th rebuttal, because the bride, Marilee, keeps changing her ratings and feedback from good to worse, because I do not give in to her extortion tactics of getting a refund. The Mariachis played her recessional upon being cued by someone who the bride said to tell them to play. The lead guitarist recorded it on his cell phone. I sent her a follow up email to let her know I spoke with the band and that they played a recessional as cued. I spoke with her 1x to see why she was not satisfied, and left 1 voice mail to let her know the men played her recessional. I'm the one being harassed through constant negative feedbacks. The bride and the music were both truly beautiful. I have checked every e-mail and every saved voice mail, and there is no documentation that this wedding was changed from Our Father Lutheran Church to Ascencion Church, due to the church being under remodeling/construction, or that the time was changed. This was found out after calling O. F. L. Church at 2:45pm to clarify directions. Perhaps the client only told the two trumpet players, who were not a part of my group. Despite that fact, we arrived in time to rehearse once with the brass, and play 17 minutes prelude music. I timed it with the organist. Bride walked down the aisle at 4:04 pm, we were playing to aReview by Ian L.
