Private PartyReviewed on December 23, 2005From Spring City, PA

Jim played for our annual Christmas party and manged to keep the 40 somethings and the college kids all on board with both Christmas carols and great 70s and 80s cover songs. It seemed like he could and would play anything you could think of. Anyone who can handle both a Christmas carol sing-along- and do a great rendition of Freebird gets qan A plus in my book. The music made the party and we'd have Jim play and sing for us again.

Jim was fabulous. He is extremely talented, professional, flexible and friendly. I could not have asked for a better personality (warm, calming, adaptable, friendly) - he helped make my wedding extra special and I would recommend him to anyone!!!!

Jim Loftus was the absolute best. My new husband and I were very pleased w/ his performance at our wedding. Not to mention the dedication. His tire blew out on the way to our wedding, he still managed to get there on time and was as professional as could be. I will definately recommend Jim to anyone I know who is having a funcion/occasion. thank you so much Jim for your pleasant experience.

Jim Loftus was a last minute miracle! Three weeks before my wedding and, I still could not find a pianist that knew how to play the songs that I wanted. As soon as I put my request in for a pianist at Gigmasters.com, I received a response from Jim the next day, stating that he could play all the songs that I suggested. Before the rehearsal Jim made sure to keep in contact with me through email and telephone, just to see if anything had changed. His prices were wonderful and his personality is even better. We even came up with a last minute entrance and he knew just what song to play. I couldn’t have asked for a better pianist. He was absolutely great!

Hiring Jim to play at my daughter's wedding was a smart move. He is professional, personable and plays beautifully.

Picture this-- It is two weeks before your wedding. You have: the man, the food, the locations, and all of the pretty flowers, but no way to get up or down the aisle. Then, your knight in shinny armor comes galloping into your inbox and solves all of you bridal woes. I was an irresponsible bride who left most details until the last minute. I was so concerned with looking nice, I forgot to book an organist. In addition to simply booking an organist, I also had to get him or her approved. I was dealing with a rather stubborn music professor whose elitist attitude excluded all organists who hadn’t played his particular organ before. After a few phone conversations with Jim, I explain to him my predicament. He said “ok, so give me his phone number.” Taken back by this, I responded, “are you serious?” A half-hour later Jim had called me back to tell me that he had a meeting with the stubborn professor the very NEXT day! At no extra cost, he met with the professor just to prove the legitimacy of his talent. He even insisted on tuning the organ! I was so relived. Once he was officially my organist, he asked me all kinds of questions having to do with the ceremony—none of which, I knew the answers to. Because of my poor communication skills, I expected Jim to show up and just kinda play. I figured it couldn’t be that bad. So he showed up the day of my wedding, and my guests and I gaped with amazement. His enchanting voice and piano and organ playing exuded aptitude. After the ceremony, I got a million inquiries like “where did you find that guy?” and “can I have his contact information?” In short, Jim Loftus gleams professionalism and talent. I couldn’t have found a better organist if I had booked him three years in advance. He took so many burdens off of my shoulders, and with a smile, placed them on his own—that is a professional.

Jim was amazing, he fufilled our dreams with his musical talents at our Wedding. He is a lovely fellow and accomodated everthing that we wanted. The only down side is that we live in the UK otherwise we would hire him all the time.

FuneralReviewed on January 13, 2005From Camden, NJ

When I orginally found GigMasters, 3 Days before my mother's funeral, and reviewed the GigMasters Entertainers in the surrounding Camden, N.J. area, I knew right away from Jim Loftus' Photograph, Entertainer's Profile & Experience he was the person that I wanted to perform at my mother's funeral family repasse. I liked the fact that Jim has a 24 Hour Respone Time to let you know immediately whether he is available or not. I noticed alot of GigMasters Entertainers have a 3 day & some have up to 10 days respone time. I personally found GigMasters & Jim Loftus services professional & very responsive to my needs & reasonable. Jim's positive attitude & musical talent helped my family to continue to celebrate life as we gathered to eat in the midst of our grief. I highly recommend both GigMasters & Jim Loftus. Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on August 6, 2004From New Egypt, NJ

Jim played for our family at a birthday celebration last fall. The music he chose perfectly fit our needs. He went over our requests ahead of time and helped ease our concerns about the diversity in age of those attending the party. Everyone loved his music! Jim also responded to impromptu requests wonderfully - even accomodating a family musician to join in for a few songs. We are certainly keeping Jim in mind for our next family celebration and highly recommend him. Dennis O'Neill - Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

Jim Loftus is a very talented musician, and we feel very lucky that he was available to perform at our wedding. We received so many compliments on his performance. He really added a touch of class and elegance to our wedding; he made our special day even more unforgettable. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Indeed, my sister liked him so much that he will be playing at her upcoming wedding.

From our initial posting on Gigmaster, Jim was the first to contact us and showed the most interest and excitement in performing at our wedding reception. He was extremely accommodating to all our detailed requests and learned a number of new songs that we wanted to be performed at the event. His performance at the reception was highly complimented by all our guests throughout the event and in the days after. He is in our opinion a very versatile and extremely talented musician/performer. He has the friendly personality we wanted and the professional demeanor we expected and couldn’t have made us feel more comfortable in such an important part of our big day. He has our highest recommendation and it is our intention to see him perform again!

I have nothing but good things to say about Jim. He played piano for our 11-May-2007 wedding cocktail hour at Pen Ryn mansion. He was very professional and was eager to meet our every need. He new just what to play and sounded wonderful. He was unobtrusive, but would have been missed had he not been there. We would work with him again in a heart beat and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends.

We hired Jim to perform at our wedding ceremony. Jim played very beautifully. He even took time out from his busy schedule to show up at our rehearsal the evening before our wedding. He was very professional, courteous & patient. I recommend Jim to anyone who is looking to hire him for wedding ceremony or reception. Thanks again Jim for all your help. - Sherin & Lissa

Private PartyReviewed on September 2, 2005From Randolph, NJ

I was extremely dissapointed that Jim Loftus cancelled on us ONE WEEK before our event. He EMAILED me to tell me that he could not do the event because he would not be singing enough. I explained to him what I wanted (which was piano only) from the very beginning and he sounded fine with it at first but kept pushing the singing on me. I explained to him that we only wanted piano. I was under the impression that he would be performing for 6 weeks and then he emails me that he cannot do because he wanted to sing. I am outraged at the unprofessionalism of Jim Loftus and would not recommend him to anyone.

This is the first time I have ever had to remove myself from a commitment but last minute changes in what was asked for came from the Jankunis party and it was contrary to what I am accustomed to providing. I am a perfomer and they were asking me to simply "play" songs that would have had a much more emotional impact if the lyrics were SUNG since they were special songs for the anniversary--what good is "playing" "After All" by Cher/Peter Cetera and a few other songs if those pertinent lyrics are not heard--and if people did not know the lyrics the melody would have simply been empty without it--never in my career have I bowed out on a gig but these and other modif
