Metro Atlanta has up and coming artists giving the people a swagged out version of "The South." Swag contains everything from confidence, style, and demeanor and Glynn Street Entertainment embodies all of these. Songs like "Dirty Birds and Georgia Peaches" and "Another One" show Glynn Street Entertainment's southern demeanor, and "G.L.Y.N.N." and "Higher" and "Give It To You" give listeners a feel for the confidence and style that Glynn Street Entertainment poses.
Glynn Street Ent is composed of two lyricists and two producers who recognized each others talents from the beginning. Aiken Davis a.k.a Big Aiken, and Austin Reed a.k.a. PIC, Glynn Street's lyricists, became friends at a young age in Lincolnton, GA and moved to college where they roomed with Blaine Daenen, a.k.a. DRIPSontheBEAT in a house on Glynn Street. After a short freestyle in their kitchen, Blaine recognized Aiken and PIC's talent right away and told his brother, Jordan Daenen a.k.a. Loafer, about the find. Loafer and DRIPSontheBEAT invited Aiken and PIC to their home in Metro
Atlanta to record, and the hip-hop game hasn't been the same since.
Glynn Street Entertainment's influences stem from Atlanta artists Outkast, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, and Young Jeezy who give a grimy view of the south, as well as other
Atlanta artists such as Future, Rich Kids, and B.o.B. who have given the Atlanta area a new swagger. Other influences include lyrical hip-hop artists J.Cole, Eminem, Biggie Smalls, and Common. All of these influences form Glynn Street Entertainment's unique sound that has been transposed into three mixtapes and many more to come.
