Johnny Soul Barkley and The Masters of Groove R&B Band from Atlanta, GA

From millennials to old school funkateers and jazz heads this group is the definition of eclecticism at its finest. Johnny “Soul” Barkley has played with the late great Johnny Taylor, Joe Tex, and several other blues musicians throughout his career. As an alum from Morris Brown College, he is known for playing with the famous Morris Brown Wolverines Band from 1970 to 1973. He is also well known in the Southern circuit of Georgia for his signature drum rolls in all genres ranging from blues to polka. Through citywide connections and mutual friendships, the five of them have formed a dynamic collective that balances out the sound that will get the crowd grooving and moving.
