I hired James to perform for our Awards Banquet. I told James we would have a mixed audience and I asked him to observe the attendees during the reception and use his experience to choose the music. James did a nice job entertaining us during the banquet. He did a variety of songs and was very well received.

James Raymond was a perfect 10. He was on time, a great singer, very respectful, and extremely talented. Our wedding on Halloween was at the Middle River Manor in Ft. Lauderdale and James suggested a song for our masquerade dance of "Monster Mash". Everyone danced with enthusiasm and excitement as both families and guests found a partner and let loose! James Raymond performed for our software conference's cocktail reception. He was great and is very talented. He is a one-man band. We asked him to play longer, and he was very accommodating. He chose music to match our crowd. He showed up early and was easy to work with. He always answered my phone calls and emails prior to the event in a timely manner. The client gave me a four on professionalism because I asked her to please make sure her severly intoxicated husband did not drive in the condition he was in. She was obviously offended by this. I have had too many loved one's either killed or hurt by drunk driver's and I will continue to speak out in their defense. If I have to take a lowered mark in order to help stop this tragic and needless loss of life then so be it.

My guests really enjoyed James. He had a great sound system and controlled the volume appropriately so my guests could enjoy the music and at the same time have a conversation. We loved his playlist and his voice. He even allowed me to play a guitar duet with him and he was very accommodating to my playing.

To be fair during the event I was hospitialized. My staff was doing there best but relayed to me the felt he was hostile and non accommendating, for the reason he was to be paid at the event but the money was locked in my desk. I would not use him again or reccommend.

The only complaint is the music was not quite loud enough for our outdoor event.

Client never once ask me to turn up the volume. I was using an amplifier and could have made it ten times louder had they requested me to do so. I find it is better to play softly than to play too loud at wedding ceromonies. Had the bride or groom or anyone for that matter simply given me a hand signal I would have turned up.

Unfortunately, a lot of our guests didn't know he was there. We wanted them to be drawn out into the courtyard, and hoped he would be able to do that. People didn't realize he was there because they couldn't hear him unless they were right near him.

James was inflexible and unprofessional in the pre-event setup. He was gruff with my event staff. I would not recommend this performer. While his singing was good, his pre-event attitude was bad. He also made me tip the bellman form him instead of the performer paying him directly.

This negative feedback really surprised me because after the event the client made a point of telling me I did a great job and that he received a lot of positive feedback from the guest that were present. The client failed to mention the real reason he was not happy. Several days before the event I had still not received a signed contract back from him. I had contacted him several times to get him to send back the contract letting him know that I could not fulfill the obligation without a contract. His music was great and very versitle. He is very talented, and I would surely recommend him. It was our misfortune that it rained that one night, but he came inside and was very accommendating, and it didn't spoil the reception one bit.

Upon arrival I informed the Miss Linda Pitterman that there was a $100 fee to tear down and set up the sound system at a different location. This is also clearly spelled in the contract she signed. The reason I made it clear to her again was because there was no doubt that there was going to be a severe thunderstorm within the hour. She had no objection at that time. After the party, she as well as many of her guest showered me with compliments and said they all enjoyed my performance. The statement she made that I played for only 5 min. is totally untrue. This was for my father in laws surprise 80th birthday party. All arrangements went smoothly, Told James what type of music to play and he did a great job. Communication prior to the event was flawless, with e mails and by phone. Arrived in plenty of time for setup.My in laws were out there dancing with many of their friends and everyone had a nice time. I highly recommend James.
