What an absolute treat to have Ed Mays Groove Kitchen at our corporate event. We hosted a Roaring 1920's theme and the band absolutely nailed it. They were incredible. Everything from their dress attire, showing up early to prep, to the musical sets. By the end of the evening we had people out dancing. I received so many compliments not just from my attendees but even the hotel staff who loved the ambiance that Ed Mays created. I would book this group again for anything around the Seattle-Bellingham area. 5 star experience for sure!

The band arrived when they said they would for set up. They were fun and interacted with the guest as they played their sets. I would definitely hire them again if I have another get-together that requires music.

Groove Kitchen is an absolute gem!! The band offered us a spectacular show during our corporate happy hour event. People normally leave when food runs out but many of them stayed towards the very end solely because of their intoxicating music!
The band members played seamlessly and knew their way to interact with the crowd. The vocal of their lead singer Stacy was STUNNING. We all very pleased to have Groove Kitchen in our house and we recommend them to anyone who wants a great party experience!

We booked Ed May's Groove Kitchen for our company holiday party and they were incredible to work with. The band we had originally booked cancelled last minute, and even with short notice Ed was able to get his band together and provide top notch entertainment. They are all extremely talented musicians and performers- Stacey was able to get some of our most reserved employees dancing! I would definitely recommend booking Groove Kitchen if you are looking for professional, fun, upbeat, and quality music.

Groove Kitchen was phenomenal! They showed up well in advance of the guests to setup. All of the band members introduced themselves and worked well to accommodate our needs. Very professional and friendly.
Their talent was top notch and played great dance music. The band has a lot of infectious energy that quickly got the crowd going. The guests were up dancing on the first song and never stopped for the night. The lead singer (Stacey) has incredible energy and a great voice. Exceptional talent and a class act.
I highly recommend Groove Kitchen. I would hire them again, no question, for the next party we have that needs a band.

Ed didn't know the song that I asked them to play for our first dance. But they looked it up... and yes.. they
played it for us..... and it was beautiful. I would recommend this band if you want your guests to have a good

They were fabulous! They arrived early to set up their instruments, accommodating themselves to rather limited space of the venue. Their selection of musical numbers was very appropriate to the nature of the event, 90th birthday celebration, and my guests' ages. Their performance received rave responses from my guests who congratulated me for selecting this group of talented musicians. When I have another opportunity to engage an entertainment, I would not hesitate to ask them, and I would enthusiastically recommend them to friends and acquaintances who plan a similar need. We got married ion 5.23.15 in Hayden, Idaho. There weren't very many options in Idaho, do we chose Ed Mays Groove Kitchen from Seattle. We had so much fun! Stacy's voice is great, and Ed was really professional the whole time. We had over 200 guests and every single person said that the music made the wedding! They are very affordable as well, and definitely the best wedding band I've heard. A lot of people approached me and said that this is the best wedding they have ever been to, and it's because of the music! I would recommend them to anybody. They put on a great show, and they are good for all ages. You can't go wrong with this band. You would be dumb not to!

Ed went out of his way to be sure our event was a success. We have a crowd that can be hard to please. Ed took the time to fully understand our preferences and how to best provide the type of music and performance we were looking for. Our hall is small with poor acoustics but he found a way to overcome those obstacles.
The performance exceeded our expectations. The band played music that got people up dancing. They responded to requests and tuned into how the crowd was responding and adapted accordingly. I heard rave reviews from our club members some of whom told me it was the best band we've had.
Good job! I'd hire them again.

Ed Mays Groove Kitchen’s music is full of jazzy delta blues, pop, rock and funk as well, for a sound that is timeless yet modern in it's own way. It’s kind of like stepping back in time, but with the keys to the Porche. This group - is undeniably charming, and undeniably entertaining. Not to mention pretty darn talented. Our guests ranged in all ages, and everyone loved Ed Mays Groove Kitchen. If you want your wedding reception, or whatever event to really "Groove", book this band!

We are so sorry that we started about 15 minutes late for Anne's party. I always try to get there an extra hour early but this was consumed by stop and go traffic which I realize now I should have planned for. Luckily, I was able to get the PA and drums set up in time but the other members arrived a little bit after me. This is a subject that will need to be addressed in future planning. Setting up at the last minute is not enjoyable for me and I'm quite certain clients feel the same.
