Abel Maxwell started playing the piano at the tender age of six through the national conservatories of Lyon and Amsterdam. He runs several groups and gospel choir as the choir "of Grady Chapel AME Church" (in Holland and England) and AMGC (Lyon, France). Together with three other choral conductors, it creates in Lyon, the Gospel Mass Choir (130 singers)he participates in several international festivals in Holland, France and England in North America (Canada, USA).
In Lyon in 2005, meeting with producers and arrangers Laetitia TORRES, Jerome and Paul Torres Yoann Alter Ego Musics that will encourage and work with Abel compositions. This collaboration will be born in 2008, the first eponymous album Abel Maxwell: The crossroads of jazz, The Soul and Gospel.
Arrived in Ontario, Canada in 2007, Abel inspires through his music the colors of the soul-pop and jazz, an environment of sharing, joy and love.
In 2010, he participated in the International Jazz Festival of Montreal in 2011, the Jazz Festival of Quebec, in 2012, the International Jazz Festival in Ottawa with the international pianist Miguel de Armas (Cuba). Abel has also collaborated with artists such as Bobby McFerrin (USA) Teeyah Mixed (France), Patrick Fiori (France), Alex Bellegarde (Montreal) and ZPN (Ottawa). In addition to its commitment to write and compose music that lifts the soul, its surprising feature is the mixture of genres pop, soul, jazz and R & B with the language of Molière.
His first French single "Nobody like you" an iTunes released on September 11, 2012 was a huge success and fans eagerly await his next album "Simple Things" which is scheduled for release February 12, 2013.
