Our experience was great. I appreciated not having to stand over him. This allowed us to spend time with family and friends. Guest complimented the Master of Ceremony and DJ all through out the night. Our money was well spent. Having a timeline of events or an agenda prepared ahead of time made our night run smoothly. Although with Mark and his level if experience we felt that we were in good hands. He kept the guest engaged and stayed with the agenda. Everything that we request was accomplished that evening. I will definitely hire him for our next event and the discount we received by booking the gig through gigmasters allowed us to party well into the night.

Very professional, some of the music the the teenagers wanted was not available but I blame that on the teens not building a log of what they wanted before hand. It is importsnt to make a list of music that you would like to hear.

This was painless and VERY professional. The price was perfect and everyone had a great time thanks to Mark Johnson. He was a fantastic DJ and I would recommend him to anyone who needed music services.

We hired Sounds of Success at the last minute for our wedding and they were more than willing to do it. They were very professional throughout the entire thing. If we had questions we could e-mail them or call them and they would answer our questions within a very timely fashion. Everyone at our wedding loved Sounds of Success. We had guests asking about them after the wedding was over! We highly recommended them to everyone and if we ever had another bog event to host we would definitely hire them again. My weddingreception went so smoothly and everyone had tons of fun. He got everyone out of their seats dancing and everything! They helped make our special day wonderful! If you are looking for a DJ choose them!!

MJohnson was a great DJ. I appreciate everything he did. He was no pressure for the contract wich was my bad bag- He went with the flow and showed up early, started prior to necessary agreed time (preffered)and worked out fine. He played all the songs I requested and took into consideration the requested songs from others. It was truly a beautiful wedding, he played the music I brought for my first dance- and it didn't scratch or skip a beat. He faded it in and out at the end. The ceremony played on with jazz,polka,frank sanatra to AC/DC, Santus Real and all of his professionalism and coordinates (Garter,apron dance,cake cutting etc)were right on time. Thanks Mr. MJ!

Mark Johnson was very professional from day one and very helpful in the overall planning of the reception. We did not provide a detailed playlist, but provided some general parameters for different types of music during different time slots. He took it from there and did a great job of hosting the reception. Everyone had a great time. He also hooked us up with a great photographer. We would not hesitate to use Sounds of Success again.

The dj that was sent was great, The equipment at the start of the event was not working and we don't know why. Maybe arriving a little earlier may have resolved the situation...no matter, the effect was nuetral and made the Awards portion a little more cheesy and memorable.

Sounds of Success was great and received a lot a great feedback from the quests. There were very responsive during the planning stages and were able to roll with all the changes in the venue. My only confirm was the wedding was at 6:15pm and at 6pm they had not arrived yet. When he did get there, he said he did not want to bother me on my day, my advise is, CALL regardless if it's the brides day or not. I would much prefer to give your directions to make sure you are there on time vs panicing 15 minus before show time. Aside from that hickup everything was wonderful. Mrs. Donnelly

I was married on October 13, 2007. To date which is July 1, 2008, I have made several phone calls and sent several emails to Mark Johnson from Sounds of Success inquiring about my pictures and video. I paid the man in full for the Wedding Gold Package prior to the wedding as agreed upon and I have no pictures and no Video of my wedding. Also, I paid for 6 hrs. of professional service from both the photographer and the videographer and both left prior to 6 hrs of service. I now must take other actions to get my money back. How sad is this not to have your wedding pictures or video and paid $2,046.45?

Mark appeared to know what he was doing, however, he lacked enthusiasm for crowd participation. He willingly turned the mic over when requested etc (special announcements etc.). Just felt as if there was no interaction with him and the audience. All in all was good.

Played customer request listed and picked by party coordinator as requested. Music request consisted of 6 hours of request for 4 hour party with no room for request from guest of the company. Guest where unaware that a request list was prepared for them for a company holiday party and they were not asked for any input into the particular music request that they would have like to have played.

Although the owner of the company sounded quite pleasant on the phone, the DJ that he sent out for the event was not. Unfortunately, the DJ seemed more interested in getting free drinks and food than the job he was hired to do. I would not recommend this company to a friend nor would I hire them myself again.

Everyone including me was in PANIC MODE because of how late this DJ was. He didn't arrive until 5 min before it was scheduled to start. For 20 minutes me and the staff were trying to get a hold of him on the numbers he provided but he did not answer either one. Once he got there he had to set up which caused the event to be running much later than expected. Also, once the music began, two songs were playing at once (neither of which was the one I had requested) To top it off -- he brought a GUN to my wedding which someone had to request he put back in his car. My wedding day would have been perfect if it wasn't for this DJ. DO NOT HIRE!

I booked Sounds of Success in October for an event in December. Mark was very unresponsive prior to my event, he never called me, never asked for a playlist or songlist. I had to email him and call him, he never initiated any kind of contact with me. I was nervous that he would not show and it was too late to book anyone else. Up until the day before my event he said he would be our DJ and the night prior he said someone else would be the DJ. Peter, the DJ he sent was actually very good, but we had Karaoke and he did not have some songs that we would have liked because we had no prior contact. Overall the event went well - but the lead up to it was terrible.

We read hundreds of reviews before we picked our DJ. My fiance spent a lot of time talking to Mark about the details. Mark never showed up. He sent someone, who we are certain never DJ'd an event in his life & he DESTROYED our reception. He mispronounced EVERY name- including ours NUMEROUS times- after he was repeatedly corrected. He deviated from our must play list & played songs we didn't want played. When it was time for our first dance, he 'couldn't find' our song.To make matters worse- after the event my husband called Mark to ask what happened and he said he was 'sorry' put my husband on hold & never came back to the conversation!
