Bad attitude

The client's evaluation is very puzzling. I arrived early and worked without a break. People loved the drawings, which created a hilarious atmosphere. They were eager to be next and they thanked me enthusiastically for the drawings.

I am not happy with the talent referred from gig masters. Cara sent me a series of emails and strung me along, then didn't come through, preventing me from getting a second artist for my party. Katherine is extremely rigid and not a "people person." I paid her over $500. And she took a paid break, I fed her and tried to accommodate her any way she requested and to say the least she was very rude to my guests including my own teenage daughter. I will not use this service or these artists in the future and I definitely don't recommend them.

This is a shocking response. At the end of the party Diana hugged me and said everybody enjoyed my work. I was booked for 3 hrs and because my work was so popular, Diana extended me for another 2 hrs, which I gladly did. Enthusiastically encouraged by Diana, I took a 10 minute break in the middle, during which I ate some veggies from the buffet. While I was drawing the teen-age daughter, I asked her what she liked in school and when she said "nothing, it's boring," I did not inquire further. Since she was a HS senior, I asked what she wanted to study in college and she said "business or something, but nothing great." She loved the glamorous drawing I did of her.

Mrs. Hilden was a delight! Very sweet and professional. She talked with everyone sitting having their caricature done. Everyone loved their portrait! She is very talented and fast! She brought her own table and chair and of course drawing materials. Everyone loved how they could take their picture home Katherine put them in plastic sleeves to protect them. She really took the time to interact with the people she was drawing to get best and most accurate picture.

Katherine was great!! We hired her for our daughter's Communion party Saturday. It was an open house so we weren't sure how many girls would want their picture done and how long Katherine was going to be needed. She was very very accommodating and the pictures were great! Very cute and looked very much like the person she was drawing. Alot of the adults had their picture done. Lots of fun had by all!! Highly recommend Katherine to your next event!!

Katherine was fabulous! (Very funny, too!) She was such a hit at my husband's 40th bday bash!! The guests couldn't stop talking about it, and they were thrilled to take home a little memento from the night. Thanks for a fantastic evening!!

I thought she did a wonderful job. She even went around asking people to come and get drawn. She made sure anyone that I specifically wanted done(my kids) had theirs completed. All the drawings were put in a plastic covering, which I thought was great.

I got there 2 hours before starting time, started to draw 15 minutes early, took a 15 minute break and no more, and stayed overtime to draw a special request.--On offer were food, games and raffle prizes plus two entertainers: the Chicago Blues band and me. This famous, fabulous band played and sang their hearts out, got some applause but could not get these people to the dance floor. Everybody was congregated to the back, away from the band, where I was set up. That's where the life of the party was. People were standing in line to be drawn, created a party atmosphere around me, laughed heartily, treasured their drawing and thanked me enthusiastically.

It was a pleasure to have Katherine at our Bridal Shower, Everyone loved her work and my guests left with big smiles on their faces. Katherine was prompt with corresponding to emails and phone calls, her set up was great as well and for an extra bonus she spoke French to my guests (PARIS Bridal Shower theme). Katherine Hilden was terrific! She was surrounded by a group of 13 year old boys as she drew them and was the life of the party. She made them all laugh, was very funny and willing to joke with them and her drawings were wonderful. I heard a lot of compliments even after the party from parents who said their son had really enjoyed the party and especially loved their drawing. The adults at the party really enjoyed her humor and loved her artwork also. We already have recommended her to our friends.

I am not one for ever making comments, however I felt compelled to let you know how dissatisfied I was with her attitude. From the moment I met her she had the most evil energy I think I've ever encountered. She was rude to each and one of my guests. They all complained to me. I was so embarrassed. When you love what you do, you should be happy to do it. She clearly is over her job and needs to retire. I would never recommend her to anyone. I wish I would have known.

As I was leaving, the client hugged me and thanked me for a wonderful job. It was a cocktail hour, in which I drew two kids and five adults in full color. The kids were too young to respond, but the adults all loved the work. I chatted with one about the movie star after whom he was named, with another about her work as a real estate appraiser and another woman was so excited when she saw the drawing, she decided to enlarge it to three feet and she already knew where she would hang it in her house. No wonder the client hugged me: I had been professional, entertaining and had made everybody happy.

Katherine arrived 30 min early just as she said to set-up, she was very warming, and full of excitement while interacting with people she was drawing. Her work is truly special and unique!! She managed to capture the personalities of everybody she worked with in her drawings!! I without a doubt know that she took the party from good, to great with her drawings, energy, and most importantly her professionalism. I look forward to having her at all of my events in the future, she's just that good!!
