Community EventReviewed on March 6, 2018From Poway, CA

TJ arrived on time and was very animated when performing. The kids really enjoyed the bubble activities. Abbie and T.J. was very accommodating, given that we had a free-flow event with an expected attendance of 200. He was also able to keep the show going despite the windy weather. Thank you!

Christmas PartyReviewed on December 27, 2022From Rancho Santa Fe, CA

In the end, it came together, but what a nightmare on the booking end. First being promised a certain talent, then being told someone else requested her, (after I paid), & that I would have to take a lesser talent. Then it was switched back to the first one, who got sick with the flu. After I voiced my concerns about her arriving sick, she found me someone else, who showed up at the door telling me she could not stay because she was afraid to drive in the fog. I would not book this service again, there is a lot of go between. You can't talk to the talent directly. In the end, after I calmed the face painter down, she did a great job & the kids loved the balloons.

:

Joy, Sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied. When you booked you asked the name of the performer. At that time Angela was open. I would never promise a performer unless a request fee is paid. Angela was requested.. I explained the only performer open was not skilled in balloon art. You still proceeded with the booking. When the client wanting Angela postponed, I put her back on your event. Angela then became quite ill. I had no availability to cover your event & my terrific clients, juggled times, & was able to free up Gardenia. She called you the day before the event as requested. She told me you were happy and tipped her. If you were not happy why did you tip?.

Corporate FunctionReviewed on August 21, 2017From Carlsbad, CA

I enjoyed working with Maria at Abbie & TJ. They handled some awkward situations well. It is a bummer though that we can't see who we were having come to our event. Our balloon twister was really good but we didn't like our caricature artist. It was very basic and he was kind of awkward. We would not have chosen the caricature artist based off of examples of his drawings but because we went through Abbie & TJ we didn't really have much of a choice.

It was a pleasure working with you too Megan. The artist first scheduled does excellent work, but, her personality at times can turn people off. Which is probably why you asked me not to send her after a conversation with her. I knew you would be happy with our balloonist. My regular artists were all scheduled at other events the same time as your event. I was referred to the artist by another artist. It was my first experience using him. I will not be sending him out again. Unfortunately, I sent him to another GM event after yours, I hope he did better. Thank you for your feedback, I will be sending a $50 Gift Certificate good for one full year. Fondly, Maria

Birthday Party (Kids)Reviewed on October 25, 2015From Spring Valley, CA

The character did great with the kids but he did not at all look like the picture that was sent to me of the batman I thought was going to be. The children even knew. I feel like if I request a picture of what the character will look and you send it to me, it should be exactly like the character you sent to me. Seemed like false advertisement to me. Wasn't happy with that part at all.

:

I sent a picture of the costume the performer we use most often wears. After she called to schedule we contacted that particular performer to give him the booking he said he had a family obligation come up unexpectedly. Not to disappoint her son and his guests with a "No Show", we sent her one of our very best character performers. Eric brings in rave reviews but does not have the Bat Hero Costume, we lent him one of ours that is used as a back up. Upon hearing of her dissatisfaction of the costume we responded with a $50 Gift Certificate and 1/2 of her money was refunded. She told me our performer did a great job entertaining the children. They had a great time.

Birthday Party (Kids)Reviewed on February 28, 2016From El Cajon, CA

The performer was kind and did do a good job focusing on the birthday child. But for the amount of money we paid we were very disappointed in the activities he did with the kids as well as his costume. His face painting was very disappointing. The balloons continues to pop and took a long time to make. We were told he would train the kids in lightsabering battles, that never happened. We were also told he would bring something special for the birthday boy nothing there either. Overall a huge disappointment for the money we paid.

:

We appreciate you taking the time to give a review. So sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. You gave our performer a $30 tip over and above the program cost which is confusing. There had to be a misunderstanding regarding a gift for the birthday child. Nowhere is a gift mentioned. He did make a twisted balloon for the guests. As I explained in our conversation, do to the big headed costume our performer is only able to do minimal face painting. He did Jedi insignia & design for the children. He uses his discretion as to whether he should have light saber fencing training as some groups get too rambunctious and sometimes rowdy. He did do a light saber cer

Birthday Party (Kids)Reviewed on December 12, 2021From Temecula, CA

They didn’t show up and we had all our friends and family excited for it. After calling they said they were never paid by Bash. I sent them proof of it being paid in full on December 6th. The event was December 11th. The said they could have someone there in about an hour. After almost two hours I called back and they said they were 20 minutes away. After 40 minutes I called and said don’t bother most of our guests have already left. Then Santa showed up at our door. The Santa that arrived was not the Santa they sent me pictures of.
