Robert played for our church ceremony as the guests arrived and left the church. He did a wonderful job. We highly recommend him. Thank you.

Mr. Lynch was very professional and played well. However, the fee was a bit high and he played only briefly; just a few moments before and a fter mom's funeral mass. Yet he was extremely professional even participating in ther mass and receiving communion with us as a family. In all Mr. Lynch was much appreciated. Carol Matthews

I played neither "briefly" nor just "for a few minutes. I played as I always do, for 10-15 minutes before the hearse arrived (usually while attendees arrive; in this case I was the only one there. I was playing as the hearse and limo arrived. I piped the coffin into the church, attended the Mass (the priest even mentioned me multiple times in his sermon). I piped the coffin out and played another lament as the 5 people who came to the service left. I piped as the hearse drove away and out of sight. When I finished the last tune I was again alone on the sidewalk before the church. Exactly what more was I to do?

Patrick seemed lovely, eager, close by and willing to perform at my grandfather's funeral. He was easy to connect with.Patrick arrived on time, 11AM. The previous funeral, as how funerals sometimes go, ran a bit over.We discussed Patrick playing before, after and as the hearse departed.Upon exiting the church after approx 3 songs there was dead air. Then he took a call and played when the hearse left - when no one was around to hear it.Again, discussed prior, but why stop playing? Please, schedule your call at a later time knowing that funerals don't always run on schedule.15 mins before mass and 20 after, just keep playing. My piper was busy, but always kept playing.

FuneralReviewed on February 22, 2011From Coram, NY

Hired him the day before funeral he was nice enough to accept a last minute job. He showed at 9:26am for 9:30am. He did play Donegal music which was appreciated by the family. I was under the impression that he was going to play amazing graze as casket left church. He said he played it when hearse left parking lot. Sorry for any confusion it was a tough day and unfortunately, it was not what I expected.

Mr Lynch was very professional, very courteous, and the first part of his performance was excellent. The second part of his performance, the most important part of playing Amazing Grace was unbelievably terrible. He was completely out of tune. He eventually got it right but only for the finale. My brother and I were horrified.

:

The elemental sound of the pipes is attractive but also makes them temperamental with tuning difficulties not shared by modern instruments. I had to play a tune at the beginning of the service and another at the end. It is VERY hard to start again without re-tuning. It was a tiny church and I could not leave. The pipes were VERY temporarily out of tune for a few notes when I started again. I recovered as quickly as any piper could, and faster than most would have. I've played at hundreds of services and this is a problem I've experienced rarely, but sometimes goes with the territory, as do overly-difficult customers. The other 10 tunes I played went perfectly.

Robert is THE bagpiper - professional, friendly and the 45 years of playing experience is an understatement to his talent. He performed for my proposal to my girlfriend during COVID-19 and will look to book him for our wedding. Robert, thank you again for a forever moment in our lives.
