Not that I have ever hired a Celtic Bagpiper or anything similar to this, but Don Shannon has set the standard extremely high! He was extremely friendly and gracious from the first phone conversation, to the final good bye after his performance. Longview is about a 2 hour drive from his location in Dallas, and he came out to my house in the pouring rain, and arrived 30 minutes early. He moved from the front porch where he got soaked, to the back porch, where it was hard to hear him, to the garage, which was the perfect location. I had 100 people at this Irish-themed Rotary Party and everyone was quite complimentary. I give Don the highest recommendation!

Don was awesome to work with - friendly, responsive, and talented. He's a professional and fills the part, complete with Irish accent. My teenage son, for whom Don's appearance was a surprise for his birthday, was riveted as Don played and talked about the instrument and his background (which we had requested he do).
I would recommend Don whole-heartedly.

When I was choosing a bagpiper for my Mother's funeral I was torn between 2, one of them being Don. Don was the most personable to me. He came out and expressed his sympathy and went above and beyond to try and make this easier. We spoke about what I wanted him to do and he was very accomadating. He arrived early and played in the distance and was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed having him there. It was one last thing I could do for my Mother to honor her and my family all thought that Don did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend Don to anyone that would like to hire a bagpiper.

The Town of Westlake would recommend Don Shannon for any event and will certainly invite him back again. He was on time, accommodating to our needs at the last minute and offered to lead the Red, White and Blue Kiddee parade. The kids in the parade all wanted to be behind him and were very fascinated with his bagpipe as many had not see that instrument before. Don Shannon was a major attraction and really struck the right cords for a Memorial Day Ceremony to honor our heroes across the nation. Don gets a 10 from the Town of Westlake.

Don Shannon was awesome!! He was warm, genuine, humorous and great with the residents. The residents loved his performance. They are still raving about the experience. He's already on my calendar for next St. Pat's Day celebration.

Don was great..he came ahead of the wedding and we discussed our plan for him.. on the day of the wedding, he was on time, dressed perfectly, played perfectly and was extremely friendly and kind to the guests.
