Pipe Major Eric Landau is renowned for a quarter-century's commitment and over two thousand performances serving the bagpiping needs of law enforcement, fire and the military as well as those of veterans and the general public. Performed solo before Arizona's governors, senior U.S. senator, at Vietnam Wall ceremonies, for organizations ranging from the Congressional Medal of Honor Society to the Arizona Funeral Directors Association, in televised Christmas concerts and for 400,000 people lining the Fiesta Bowl parade route. Played in opening act for the Black Watch on Tour, at the Phoenix Open, at annual observances of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, International Association of Firefighters, National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and at the session opening of the Arizona State Legislature.  Present and past pro bono performance history includes long-standing service as pipe major (pipe band leader/musical director/instructor) and enrolled honor guard bagpiper for ten police and fire departments, US military and veterans organizations as well as for numerous annual American Cancer Society Relays for Life.  Initiated and continues to perform the weekly Sunset Bagpiper clubhouse program at SunRidge Canyon Golf Club.  Graduate, Balmoral School of Piping, whose faculty includes many of the world's greatest teaching bagpipers.

Bagpipes

Performing on a beautifully hand-engraved, polished-silver adorned Great Highland Bagpipe by David Naill, favored pipe maker of world champion soloists, or on my antique set by legendary maker Peter Henderson. 

Soft Parlor Pipes are available for quiet venues, while the amplified Electronic Bagpipe can bring down the house!

Kilted Attire

Appearing in Highland civilian dress options ranging from formal to casual, or in traditional military, law enforcement or fire service kilted attire.


Professional Standards

I am available seven days a week.  Event planning meetings and personal auditions are encouraged, with never a charge.

Another piper won't unexpectedly appear in my place, nor will I impose my personal preparation or tuning upon your venue. Instead, I will arrive on time, ready to perform, as we will have discussed and as you expect. 

I firmly believe that my clients deserve nothing less than total professionalism, delivered with a personal touch!


Solemn Occasions
 
There is no higher calling for a piper than to help comfort the bereaved with bagpipe music. The piper traditionally begins and ends the funeral, committal, memorial service or celebration of life and leads all casket processionals. Piper Eric has performed at many hundreds of solemn occasions, also playing the quiet parlor pipes during visitations and wakes. Consultation with a family member helps insure that each tune reflects family preferences, traditions and is just what's desired to honor your loved one. When planning a solemn occasion or any other event, please call (without obligation) to discuss how bagpiping may be utilized appropriately and to best effect.


Weddings

Piper Eric has helped bring joy to hundreds of weddings, most often performing the ceremonial music itself. Parlor pipes are perfect for a prelude medley to settle the guests down during final seating, and perhaps later to accompany a unity candle-lighting, sand ceremony or handfasting. A stately march played on the Great Highland Bagpipe announces the entry and continues for the advance of each wedding party member. Next, the bride's entrance is heralded by her own chosen processional. At the conclusion, a spirited recessional tune for the couple's or the entire wedding party's exit completes the ceremony on a celebratory and upbeat note of excitement and exuberance!

We were so happy that we had Eric Landau perform at our wedding. From the get go, Eric was very thorough in in all aspects of his performance. He gave us complete flexibility on our song choices whilst providing great recommendation. Eric even has a number of pipers outfits that he lets you choose for your event.
Any questions we had, Eric was very prompt in his swift reply over phone or email, he really made it an ease free process. 
Most importantly our guests were blown away by Eric's performance and had some of our guests in tears of joy. Eric performed for one hour meaning his performance carried through to our cocktail hour. I give Eric 5 stars out of 5! 

Eric was a wealth of knowledge during a difficult time. We very much appreciated his advice as we prepared for my father's funeral. The music before and after the service was a perfect addition to our event. 

We had a great experience with having Eric come and play bagpipes for our wedding! He communicated very well with us in the advance planning. He was on time, very polite, his music was wonderful. Our guests loved him and he was exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. Thank you Eric and yes, I would refer him to anyone looking for a very talented musician.
