The Professors made our wedding an awesome event! If you don't love them - you don't love good music. On top of their amazing talent and huge repertoire, they were easy to deal with, accommodating, and offered to learn any songs we wanted. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

We had such a blast dancing to the Professors of Soul at our wedding- I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to throw a good party! They learned all the songs we requested and made everything feel so personal and special. The quality and variety of music are awesome and the energy that the band brings to the event is invaluable! Having the Professors of Soul at our reception was an absolute blast! The meeting with Monty put us at ease and it was evident that they were going to do all the could to make sure everything happened just the way we wanted. They learned all three songs for our special dances and also asked what other special requests we might have during the reception. They had a very extensive list of songs for us to choose from and Monty went above and beyond to bring extra lighting for our veneue. Many of our guests commented on how great the band was. We would strongly recommend them for anyone who loves live music!

Loved the Professors of Soul!!!!! They were absolutely PERFECT for our wedding reception! They had the party going strong right up until it had to end. Our guests came up to us all evening telling us how wonderful and fun the band was - everyone danced the entire time. We had several special requests as far as special songs and even having the groom/bride's father play along for a song and they accomodated everything! They made our evening fabulous and definitely one we will remember forever. Monty is awesome and so is the rest of his crew! I highly recommend this group for any occasion.

The best band. Period. Exclamation point!
- They learned and played our special song for our first dance.
- They did a great job keeping the reception events organized and rolling along.
- They brought fun instruments like maracas for the guests to play with.
They were all very talented and played great dance-able music that had everyone (Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunts, friends and cousins, young and old alike) out on the dance floor rocking out with their socks out. It was like they sprinkled some sort of crazy magic dust over the entire party because we never, in 3 hours, saw the dance floor empty.

Professors of Soul were AWESOME!! So professional and showed up very early. They communicated quickly and were such a joy to deal with. They even learned special songs for our first dances for no charge - such a treat! Would highly, highly recommend them! Everyone was on the dance floor until their very last song.

The Professors of Soul are a great band that I would recommend for any event. Monty is a great band leader and is very easy to work with. If you need a fun, high energy band that plays a diverse catalogue of songs and won't break the bank, you won't be disappointed with the Professors of Soul.

The Professors of Soul were wonderful!! When I first heard them play at my brothers wedding in April 2010 I knew they were the band that I wanted to have at my reception. Monty was very pleasant to work with and the cost was very reasonable. My husband and I wanted a Black Keys song played for our first dance and we were so excited with the result!! It was awesome when 2 of the female singers got on the dance floor and showed us a fun group dance. They were very nice and understanding with our (my) less than graceful dancing:)
I would definitely recommend the The Professors or Soul to anyone who wants great music, beautiful voices and a spectacular performance!

These guys (and ladies too!) were INCREDIBLE. We had such a great time out on the dance floor at our wedding reception!! The group was so versatile...we heard all our favorite classic dance songs and some salsa and jazz too! Monty was great to work with. I had two other bands at my wedding and Monty coordinated with them beautifully. The band was fabulous overall. Tamika has a great voice. Everyone had a wonderful time dancing to their music. I would absolutely recommend this band to others.

Book them! Our wedding reception was a dream come true and the Professors of Soul were the perfect band. Super professional and easy to work with, they drove at least 150 miles for our wedding. The Professors of Soul were recommended by a friend, but it turns out my wife and I used to go out to see Monty (and other members of the band, no doubt) play jazz at a local club when we lived in Greenville. The Professors of Soul really took our reception to the next level: Tameka, the lead singer, is out of this world, not to mention all the rare talent backing her up. We recommend the Professors for any occasion and we hope to catch them next time we're in Greenville.

The Professors of Soul truly made our reception a great experience!!!! The Professors of Soul were remarkably easy to work with and they even offered to learn a few songs for us. All night people approached my wife and I and asked how we found them and said that they were the best band they had ever seen at a reception. The energy from the band showed on the dance floor as they kept people dancing up until it was time to leave. I would recommend them to ANYONE who enjoys a great band and most importantly, talented musicians. Go with the Professors of Soul and you will not be disappointed.

The Professors of Soul were an outstanding band for our reception! They were very accomodating to some last minute requests and totally professional throughout our interaction. I thought they were a good band listening to them online, but their performance at our wedding reception exceeded my expectations and beyond! They had half of our reception on the dance floor and kept the high energy of the crowd going all night. They are an incredibly talented group of musicians and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. We received so many complements about how great the band was at the reception!

These guys get 110% from us on all levels! Monty was a pleasure to work with in the planning stages and they blew us away with the performance at our wedding. We have had so many people comment on what a great band we had and ask "who are they and where did they come from??!". One of our guests is a live band booking agent from LA and he was even in awe of the Professors! We absolutely can't wait to see these guys again soon.
