Pamela Cumming Violinist from Boston, MA

I am a violinist/pianist/vocalist from the great white north, Canada! My musical studies began at the age of 4, and led me to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My studies have been classically based, but I also play a variety of other styles of music including folk styles, jazz, contemporary, popular, and world music. Currently I am a member of Videri String Quartet, a string quartet that plays mainly arrangements of music from video games. I am also a member of the Boston String Players, an ensemble of young professional and student musicians who collaborate with upcoming visual and performing artists, and perform innovative concert programs that intertwine established classical pieces with contemporary and novel compositions of non-classical genres, often featuring the first-time performance of a new composition. If an ensemble is required, I am able to put together a duo, trio, or quartet to suit your needs. I am also open to special requests, to personalize your special day or event. I am always open to new styles of music, as it can only broaden what I can offer in the future. I sing and play piano in addition to violin, so if you would like some of that added in, that can be discussed. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask.
