Olya Prohorova Violinist from Chicago, IL

At her young age, Olya has won numerous national and international competitions, subduing audiences of all kind. She has performed in prestigious concert halls in Europe and USA, as well as on the streets of Chicago, having as a goal to promote the art of music among all layers of society. Besides being a student, she actively performs at various events solo and with her string quartet consisting of fellows from Eastern Europe, where she also comes from. Despite her classical training, Olya does not limit her peformances to classical music: she also plays country, balkan/romanian/moldavan folk, jazz and pop music. She collaborated with famous Chicago DJ's and other performers with whom she had great success playing at important events.
