I offer professional violin performances of the highest quality at reasonable prices. I can provide both classical and contemporary music for weddings, engagements, receptions, parties, fundraisers, corporate functions, and any other special events. I also perform as a volunteer in nursing homes, hospitals, and churches. With a strong passion for music performance, I have been diligently studying the violin for over 15 years and have won multiple competitions and awards. Last year, as a graduating college senior, I was honored to perform a solo for Duke University's board of trustees, including president Richard Brodhead and Apple CEO Tim Cook.
As the recipient of a generous Dean's Performance Grant, I am excited to begin my graduate studies in violin performance this August at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance, one of the nation's leading music schools. In the meantime, I have participated in several intensive music festivals this past summer, including the Luby Violin Symposium, the National Orchestral Institute, and the Emerging Artist Fellowship Program at Garth Newel.
I completed my undergraduate work at Duke University in May 2016, earning degrees in global health, sociology, and ethics. Although I did not major in music at Duke, I was fortunate to have been quite involved in the music department. I studied violin with Mr. Eric Pritchard of the Ciompi Quartet for four years, and I was a two-time winner of the Duke Symphony concerto competition. I also served as concertmaster and president of the Duke Symphony Orchestra, directed by Professor Harry Davidson. Upon graduating from Duke, I was awarded the Julia Wilkinson Mueller Prize for Excellence in Music, a Benenson Award in the Arts, and graduation with distinction in music. Other than music, I am also extremely passionate about global health, social justice, filmmaking, writing, and education.
