Anna Andrews Music Violinist from Minneapolis, MN

Hello! I’m Anna Andrews and I am a professionally trained classical violinist, folk fiddler and seasoned performer. In 2010, I received my Bachelor of Music in violin performance from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, and throughout my studies and since graduating have been an active member of the music community in Minneapolis and St. Paul. I currently perform regularly with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra as principal 2nd violin, my string quartet & string trio and a raucous Irish band named the Jolly Groggers! I have also performed with the South Dakota Symphony, Rochester Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Bloomington Civic Theater, The Bucket Brigade and more. I was accepted to Master's programs at Boston Conservatory and New England Conservatory in Boston. I have been performing as a violinist for special events for over a decade. I truly love live performing and adding a personal touch to each event I perform at. Whether it's a wedding, a funeral, a business or anniversary party, or even a birthday party, my hope is that my violin playing will add beauty and elegance to any occasion. I’m comfortable playing in many styles, including classical, Irish and Scandinavian folk, popular, religious hymns, contemporary Christian, and free form improvisation. If you want a simple solo violinist, string duet, trio or quartet, or someone to accompany a choir or a pianist I’m the violinist for you!
