Taxi Driver is a popular, regional 6-piece variety band fronted by two female singers with great harmonies, and supplemented by our talented guys. Performing more than 80 shows a year....we specialize in professional events such as weddings, corporate, holiday & private parties, street dances, and clubs. We span every decade of music from the 50's to today including Oldies, Motown, Classic & Modern Rock, Country (new & old), Pop, Dance & Current Hits. We are proud to offer one of the largest and most varied song lists in the Midwest. Taxi Driver has been nominated for four Omaha Entertainment Awards in the category of "Best Cover Band". We have also opened for national acts such as Tim McGraw, Doobie Brothers, Sawyer Brown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Monkees and BTO, to name a few. The main concerns with hiring a band at a wedding: Are they going to be too loud? Taxi Driver has the Best Sound Around, its clear sound not muddled & loud like so many bands. Every instrument can be heard with the Beautiful Vocals coming through clearly, which makes for a pleasant listening experience. The overall sound is loud enough to feel the beat on the dancefloor while at the same time not to loud for those guests who wish to carry on a conversation & catch up with relatives & friends they haven't seen for some time. Is the band going to take the spotlight away from the happy couple? While some bands have a challenge realizing that they are performing at a wedding and not their usual club-type event (where the band is the focus), Taxi Driver makes the entire night about the wedding couple. They sprinkle the night with reminders about why everyone has gathered together, the celebration of the nuptials. I've watched & heard countless bands over the years & without a doubt, Taxi Driver, is consistently Great everytime I have heard them. They are professional, taking care of every detail ahead of time so there are no last minute unwanted surprises. Talk about a par-tay. They were so professional yet sooo much fun - our guests were even up on the stage singing and playing along with them and having a blast...and I got so many comments about the band/music throughout the reception and the morning after. My husband and I always said we'd judge the success of our wedding by how full the dance floor was and it was full.all.night.long.
