The Fabulous Po' Boys are a vocal/guitar duo, local to the Seattle area. Playing together since 1991, the boys play an eclectic mix of rock, pop, surf and blues (with the occasional Hawaiian, blue grass, Cajun and honky tonk touches when appropriate) emphasizing vocal harmonies with both acoustic and electric guitars. In addition to guitars, the boys will switch out for mandolin and ukulele for the right songs. With an extensive catalog of music the boys are heavily influenced by The Eagles, The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Crowded House/Neil Finn, Van Morrison, Zac Brown Band, Traveling Wilburys, Elvis (Presley and Costello), Fountains of Wayne (look them up, your life will change), America, Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkle and Chris Isaak. But the music mix goes beyond the core influences, touching tunes as far back as the 50s and as current as today. At the core of a Fabulous Po' Boys show are the vocal harmonies. Both Ed and Warren trade off on lead vocals and when one isn't leading, he's harmonizing with the other. The boys mix it up with cover tunes and the occasional original tunes from one of their CDs. With extensive experience in wine bars, winery tasting rooms, cafes, pubs, outdoor festivals, corporate events and private parties (of all occasions) The Fabulous Po' Boys take their musicianship seriously while bringing an air of playfulness to the act and warmth for their audience.
Depending on the occasion, the Fabulous Po' Boys will craft a show of two to three hours in length tailored to the tone of the event. If you want them to burn from the first bar, they can do that. If you prefer a quieter, slower build up, with more energy toward the back half of a show (or later in the evening) that can also be accommodated. The Fabulous Po' Boys will consult with you ahead of time for what you are looking for and do their best to meet your needs.
