They were prompt, versatile, talented & personable. They were definitely the highlight of our 85th birthday party. What a fun & awesome group!

FuneralReviewed on September 13, 2008From Indio, CA

We loved Gordon Parr & The Dixiecats. They were very accommodating and all the people enjoyed the music. We asked them to play an extra hour as a matter of fact. We would highly recommend them. They made our wake as beautiful as we imagined. N Marek

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on April 14, 2007From Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

A great authentic Dixieland Jazz Band from musicians who know Dixieland! We were very happy with Gordon Parr & The Dixiecats. They were very professional, on time, and knew a variety of songs. We hired them for our mother's memorial service and I know my Mom was dancing in heaven to their music! She would have been very happy.

Dinner DanceReviewed on December 6, 2008From Borrego Springs, CA

I was very upset with the band drinking alcohol before they performed.

:

We arrived for this gig at about 5:30PM precisely as agreed upon with Stacy and proceeded to set up. Having done that,we awaited dinner as we were to eat early and be ready to play by 7:00PM. Our dinner was served late but on our own initiative, we began to play at about 7:45. Dinner guests gradually drifted into the lounge area and began dancing. Often the floor was completely crowded as we chose tunes that the dancers seemed to enjoy. Some requested Dixieland which we played for them. Oh yes, the waiters were serving glasses of champagne to all arrivals - the "alcohol" Stacy mentioned. As she gave us a top rating for talent, our playing was evidently 1st class.
