45north band Jazz Band from Ottawa, ON

45north is a dynamic 6 piece Ottawa based band that performs a large selection of jazz music written and performed by Canadian jazz artists. From Mike Murley to David Braid; Manteca to Snaggle; David Restivo to Alan Matheson. The tunes are lyrical and memorable. We performed at Merrickville's Jazz Fest on Thursday Oct 12 and had a great time playing much of our wonderful jazz repertoire. The band includes sax, trumpet, piano, guitar, bass and drums. My fees are very competitive and I am happy to provide a quote for your event and work within your budget if possible. My bands have been booked for many events in the Ottawa area over the past few years. We can provide the live jazz music your event requires from quiet background music for cocktails and dinner to energetic danceable tunes. From the jazz trio or quartet to the 6-piece jazz band 45north, I have the best live music for your event. We are very experienced playing for wedding receptions, corporate functions, galas, festivals and private parties. Most of our bookings are private functions that I normally do not post on the gig listing here. The trio and quartet have performed for public and private events and at many different venues throughout the Ottawa area and Eastern Ontario. We performed at the Ottawa Jazz Festival in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2015 and Merrickville's Jazz Fest in 2014 with 45north booked at MJF in 2017 and we play occasional club dates.
