The Glenn Crytzer Orchestra is New York City's premiere ensemble performing the music of the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. Our repertoire includes the music of Swing-Era artists like Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, as well as the music of artists from the Prohibition Era such as Fletcher Henderson, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Jean Goldkette, Paul Whiteman, and more. Whether you're looking for swing music for a gala or hot jazz for a Gatsby themed soiree, the GCO performs music that is the quintessence of both Art Deco elegance and the free-wheeling joy of the Jazz Age!
-Named "Best Group in New York" in the 2017 NYC Jazz Awards sponsored by Hothouse (NYC's Jazz Magazine)
-Hired for events by venues like Lincoln Center, the Plaza Hotel, Marriott, the Rainbow Room, the National Arts Club, and many more.
-Held a weekly residency in Manhattan in 2017, funded by Pepsi.
-Music featured in dozens TV Shows, Films, TV Ads, and Podcasts.
-As seen on the Today Show and NBC's "First Look."
In addition to the full GCO (17 musicians including male and female vocalist) we offer smaller options from 2-8 musicians for events with limited space and/or budget. We also frequently partner with tap and swing dance performers who can perform "floor show" style with the band or simply provide ambiance and atmosphere by social dancing in vintage attire. Bandleader Glenn Crytzer has been an avid swing dancer for almost 20 years, so he not only knows all the best dance performers, but knows how to work with them seamlessly to create incredible performances.
The GCO's clients are discerning individuals like you who want New York's top vintage jazz specialists, first rate professionalism, and no gimmicks. We look forward to making your event unforgettable for you and your guests!
