My musical career started early in life when I played as a drummer in rock and roll bands in the Midwest. In the mid 90’s I bought my first steel drum. I started playing in a two piece island music band in the Minnesota lakes area, “Island Time”.
In 1999 my wife and I moved onto our sailboat in the Florida Keys and while cruising, I played steel drum in many tiki bars up and down the coasts of Florida.
In December of 2001 we stopped in Key West and have lived in the Key West area ever since.
I started playing steel drums at weddings on the beach shortly thereafter, and along with many other wedding venues, have been doing that ever since.
I also play steel pan in “Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band”. This band plays events in the Keys during the fall, winter, and spring months, and tours the US in the summers.
