When he was a pre-teen, he identified his dream to become a sportscaster. Then he found ways to fulfill that dream. And how is that dream working out for him? He has earned ten Emmy awards, eight Sportscaster of the Year honors, and received the Distinguished Service Award from the Atlantic Coast Conference. His Alma Mater, Catawba College, presented to him the distinguished Alumni Award and inducted him into their Sports Hall of Fame. He is the voice of the NBA Atlanta Hawks, the WNBA Atlanta Dream, SEC Football as well as ACC Basketball and Baseball. As impressive as his sportscasting awards and career are, that's not all there is to Bob's story. The obvious inspirational call on his life extends beyond sportscasting.
