Free Form Jazz Band from Whittier, CA

"Free Form" is a group of friends who happen to be musicians and who love the freedom to express themselves through the form of music. Although "Free Form" plays a diverse palate of musical styles, Smooth Jazz and 60's soul music is what they have been focusing on lately. Tom Fenton living in Whittier, Ca. and originally from Montebello Ca. is a guitarist, composer and arranger who has played with many great artist such as "Justo Amario", members of the "Winnas" and Grammy Award winner, "Israel Houghton" Tomhas played all the styles of music is actively performing, composing and arranging music throughout his local. Rich Niego on drums and percussion, Rich is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and is currently living in Burbank, Ca. He comes from a Musical background, His Father David (Dacito) Niego was A Percussionist and Rumba Dancer and Singer From the 40's-60's. who played all over the states with big names like Xavier Cugat, Desi Arnaz just to name a few.   Rich has played in many types of groups in the styles of rock, latin, jazz, R&B, Pop, funk and Fusion. Rich has played with the late Jazz Guitarist, "Ted Greene", Hall of fame singer, John Kaye and Rich is currently a cast member of the Tango Show "Romper El Piso," Steve Coral, keyboardist and music composer & arranger was a member of the 562 Air Force band of the southwest for 36 years. He earned a B.A. & an M.A. in Jazz Performance from Cal State University at Los Angeles. Steve is presently teaching piano, composing and arranging music and actively playing music in various musical situations in Southern Cal. Gary Mets from La Vern, Ca. has his own music production co. "Vibe Productions" and has played and recorded with countless jazz, R&B, funk and also Spanish rock groups on saxes and flute. He also is currently working on music for film. Alex Martin originally from Los Angeles, ca. and currently living in Whittier. Ca., performs on Bass and vocals. He has played in many types of groups in the styles of rock, latin, Brazillian, jazz, R&B, funk and smooth jazz. He has arranged and performed music with Grammy Award winners "Denise Williams" and "Cindy Haren" from the "En Vogue Group" under the direction of Jeffery David. He holds a Music degree and teaching credentials from Cal State University at Los Angeles. Alex currently teaches instrumental music for the L. A. Unified School District and performs in various musical groups with "Free Form" being his principal group.
