Looking for an experienced singer and pianist to provide just the right mood for your event or special occasion? Doug Hare has been making all sorts of audiences happy since 1997. He plays private parties all over Ohio. Hare's greatest strengths include his flexibility and broad repertoire. For example, when a bride recently wanted music to suit her needs exactly but had no idea where to begin, Doug took an entire evening to consult with her and her fiancé. They decided upon a wide array of music including classical and pop favorites on solo piano as well as jazz with singing. Doug also recently played a Motown themed wedding. The bride's Mom wanted Bach for her processional and the bride was afraid it couldn't work because it was so different than the Motown music. Doug suggested Lover's Serenade, a Motown adaptation of another Bach piece! Doug can be counted on to play the songs that create an entertaining atmosphere for his audience, performing everything from Girl from Ipanema to My Girl, as well as his own compositions. Meena 10/01/2011 Doug was our ceremony musician and he did a fantastic job! Our ceremony was outside and the weather was looking to be rainy and I kept worrying about whether or not Doug would be able to play- then I found out that he brought a tent with him and was REALLY prepared! I was extremely pleased! Not to mention that Doug has worked with us on what music we wanted to hear and was willing to learn the songs he didnt know! He also brought his speaker to our garden wedding so that all the guest can hear the music- which was wonderful! Doug plays piano very well, he is very talented and accommodating!
