In every phase of Naarai Michele's life of 23 years, another facet of her talent as an entertainer unfolds. This singer/songwriter/actress received her entertainment start in her hometown, Sarasota, FL, acting in stage productions, singing jazz, gospel, and show tunes. This 2014 Howard University honors graduate has emerged as a talented songwriter. In 2015, she released her first music project, an EP titled, On My Way.Her smooth, mellow voice reveals traces of several genre of music including R & B, jazz, gospel, pop, and soul. Though born in the 1990's, some of her greatest musical influences have been, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, and Barbara Streisand. On My Way, also gives listeners a peek at her talent as a songwriter. Citing the influence of Stevie Wonder, Naarai says, “I wants to be known for writing meaningful music; music that is relevant for all times; songs that speak to the soul, not just a great beat.” Her prompting to write songs comes easy and natural, from a conversation, a movie, and sometimes just a deep feeling in her soul. This talented artists is on her way!
