Matt Burke is an accomplished singer, songwriter, band leader, and entertainer with more than 15 years of performance history under his belt. Hailing from DeLand, FL, Burke moved to Chicago in 2006 to pursue a career in music and hone his craft as a songwriter and performer. From 2006-2014, Burke performed in several successful cover bands (Alternative Nation, Saved by The Band, Hyperflo) in the Chicagoland area. During this time, Burke was also developing his original project - The Matt Burke Band – and began writing songs for his debut original album, Pretty Close to Very Good. This album was released in 2010 to critical acclaim across a wide range of music blogs and online publications. While actively involved in the Chicago music scene, Burke played many well-known music venues and street festivals, including the Rock Bottom Brewery, the Navy Pier Beer Garden, the Hard Rock Chicago, the Elbo Room, the Empty Bottle, Subterranean, Belmont Street Music Festival, Windy City Blues Fest, and the Foundation Room at the House of Blues, Chicago. In 2014, Burke moved back to the sunshine state to focus on his original music and further develop a growing Florida fan base.
