I'm a professional saxophonist and clarinetist with 20 years of experience playing in a variety of events and settings. My performances are tailored to suit your event's atmosphere, whether it is mellow jazz for a cocktail hour or energetic dance numbers for a family celebration and anything in between. My equipment allows for the volume and energy to be adjusted to match your vibe and needs. My typical set-up and take-down time is usually 15 minutes or less, plus I have the option to be completely battery powered so electrical access is never an issue. I also carry event insurance. My musical career has taken me from performing with the US Navy Band Southeast in Latin America, to the Daytona 500, to community symphonies and orchestras, and back to weddings and restaurants in Virginia and Washington D.C. My song list is constantly growing and covers a wide range of styles, but feel free to reach out if you have a special request for your special occasion. I'm open to travel and I frequently gig in the Richmond, DC, Charlottesville, Lynchburg, and Hampton Roads areas. Additionally, I'm open to subbing in for your band that needs a sax, clarinet, or flute player. I am also comfortable with sight reading, playing out of real books, or improvising with your band.
