Memphis Rockabilly Band Swing Band from Milton, MA

The Memphis Rockabilly Band plays authentic rockabilly, the combination of blues, country and hillbilly made famous by Elvis on Sun Records in the mid-fifties. The band also plays songs by other notable 50's artists, notably Carl Perkins, who called them "the best rockabilly band I've ever seen." Ventures' and Link Wray instrumentals add to the mix, as do MRB's original songs that also combine elements of blues, country and rock & roll. An uptempo outfit, MRB is essentially an old-fashioned rock & roll dance band, suitable for swing dancing. MRB has played with Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Etta James, the Fabulous Thuderbirds, Roomful of Blues, Jack Scott, Duke Robillard, Chuck Berry, the Persuasions, and others, and has traveled to Europe several times.
