The Taters play an eclectic mix of roots rock, pop, country, skiffle & Americana, a sound that's been compared favorably to a mixture of Everlys, Orbison, Beatles, and Nick Lowe.
We've been reviewed favorably in Billboard Magazine, No Depression, the Washington Post, and Country Standard Time, and have played successful shows throughout the Virginia, DC, MD, NC areas for the last 6 years. We have 3 CDs of original music out, and they are getting airplay at over 40 stations around the world, in 9 countries.
We have played to crowds from bookstores & house concerts to outdoor festivals, and can provide our own sound for smaller shows. We can perform as a duo, or a full band (with drums). We've opened for regional and national acts, including Kansas, America, 1964 The Tribute, Wayne Hancock, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and The Grandsons. Our music appeals to all ages.
