Tear Live Band from Saratoga Springs, NY

In these days of three-man, three-chord punk, presequenced hip-hop and dissonant rap-metal, TEAR has arrived to save rock and roll. TEAR features singer Ed White (also on rhythm guitar and mandolin), lead guitarist Scott Comeau (banjo), Zeüs (bass, backing vocals), drummer Pete 'The Beat' James and Berklee-trained keyboardist Andrew Iorio. Back-up vocalist Amy G. Smith has recently been introduced to secure the spectrum. In addition to the pop/rock world's standard instrumentation, TEAR often augments their unique sound with the banjo and the mandolin; these instruments are traditionally reserved for bluegrass and country, giving them flavor nothing like today's bland musical offerings. Originating from Saratoga Springs, New York, TEAR is looking forward to making the world their stomping ground with the release of their self-titled debut CD. The project was produced by Scott MacPherson (Brian Setzer, Alison Krauss) and features guest appearances by artists such as Billy Joel's #1 guitarist Tommy Byrnes and Lori Friday (Lenny Kravitz).
