Leading Beatles Impersonators ‘Come Together’ CHICAGO, IL - It's the 40th Anniversary of the Beatles coming to America and four of the countries hottest Beatles’ impersonators have “come together” to form “Meet The Beetles,” a tribute band founded by Chicago’s own John 'Lennon' Graham. Graham, who has performed at the Cavern Club in Liverpool and was instrumental in landing top honors at Beatlefest 2003, has joined forces with renown Paul McCartney impressionist Jerald Cross, world class guitarist Doug Couture, Harrison impersonator and top notch Ringo Starr player Joe Bologna. What sets Meet the Beetles (MTB) apart from other tribute bands is that MTB performs all of their renditions in the exact key written and performed by the incomparable Beatles. Other bands lower the key because hitting McCartney and Lennon’s vocals requires an amazing range and vocal strengths. From Liverpool and throughout the nation, Graham is known for “having one of the most convincing portrayals of John Lennon.” He is sought after for his ability to reproduce an eclectic range of vocal stylings. His “John Lennon” has earned him appearances on CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX and Chicago's CLTV. Cross (McCartney), a natural left-handed Bass player with a high range vocal capacity and striking resemblance to the famous bass-playing Beatle, has many years of exemplary performances as Paul McCartney all over the nation. His expertise on Bass Guitar led to industry offers in LA, including professional commercials as well as an offer to play in a production by an associate of Madonna’s. Couture (George) is a musicians’ musician who lends his remarkable talent to performers in the industry through consultation and DVD training programs. He has quite the chameleon approach and a rebellious veneer in his portrayal of Harrison – from the jangling Rickenbacker 12-string, to George’s signature “shuffle.” Bologna (Ringo) has the finest rock and roll meter-making-precision of any Ringo currently on the circuit. Joe is well known in the industry as a world class drummer. He has been professionally recorded and signed in his percussion endeavors. This seasoned musician also plays guitar, bass and piano. MTB has already amassed an impressive team of professionals to add-value to the music. Three-time Emmy award winning Cameraman Steve Erwin (ABC-Channel 7-Chicago) will capture the amazing Beatles-like performances for a filmography. Casandra Dawe, Chicago professional theatre director, is working with “Anthology” and will direct the group. Actor Tim Casey, will regale audiences with his Ed Sullivan impersonation. MTB’s staff includes Joe Collins, WBBM traffic reporter, for script writing and collaboration; Joseph Voves who will design and edit the web and demo; and Brian Rigg who heads up film production. Hoeffner PR Group, Ltd. has been retained to launch a national PR campaign. Meet the Beetles offers tremendous musicianship along with five full set lists performed in the original key of the Beatles. 'We have created a first-rate, professional production and team and illuminated the days of Beatlemania as well as its subsequent history in full depth,' explained Graham. 'Our mission is to deliver an unparrelled professional performance, with dead-on vocals and instrumentation.'
