Noise Poets bring back the glorious late 60's and early 70's rock theatre. It's a combination of the great songs from the late sixties/early seventies and originals by Noise Poet lead singer and guitarist George Douglas Lee. Noise Poets also go for the show. Lee is wireless, so he can go out into the audience, and even costumes are part of the act, recreating the look and feel of that period of innovation in the late sixties. Noise Poets realize the entertainment value of each show, a total experience as well as a sonic adventure. RetroMetro Rock and Roll by the finest purveyors of the genre. ---About the Band Members--- George Douglas Lee - Lead Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Lee has a long career in music with three hit singles, a vinyl record album and seven CDs to his credit. "Don't Mess With The Sound!" is the band's latest CD release. Lee is also a produced and published playwright, a produced screenwriter and an inductee into the Texas Playwright Hall of Fame. Music is his first love, however. Focusing on lyrical content, he writes with substance and melody in mind. Lee is available for solo acoustic performances as well. Tony Sassi - Bassist and Vocals Sassi obtained his music degree in 1980 and his major instrument was the string bass. Sassi has played and sang in a wide variety of musical combos since his college days. He was also a member of the Houston Texans professional football team's Pep Band from 2002 to 2004. He has played classical, country, rock and jazz gigs in Houston for the past thirty years. Providing solid bass for a wide variety of musical styles keeps him busy and in demand. Sassi's musical goal is to always make the performance listenable, danceable and fun. Nick Veremis - Drummer and Vocals Veremis grew up listening to early rock and roll, soul, jazz and Latin music. His family owned a night club and he took lessons from some of the drummers performing at the club. For 10 years Veremis was with a 7 piece zydeco band in Michigan. He is the power behind the Noise Poets hard hitting sound. Veremis is also a vocalist.
