Rock Acoustic Guitar from Hampton, VA - Will travel up to 10 miles
MEMBER SINCE 2015
$50 - $75
My repertoire consists mostly of classic rock, but I also throw in some more modern rock, blues and even some country on occasion. I play everything from well known favorites like "Brown Eyed Girl" (Van Morrison) and "Margaritaville" (Jimmy Buffet) to songs you don't often hear from a solo acoustic artist, like "Come Together" (The Beatles), "Pride and Joy" (Stevie Ray Vaughan) and "Breakdown" (Tom Petty). I also do a few songs with my own personal twist--a reggae version of "Roxanne", for instance. I don't play a lot of the standard stuff you hear from solo guitarist/vocalists, but I will be happy to here any special request you may have, and if I feel that I can do a good job on the song for you I'll do just that.
I can provide wedding music for outdoor ceremonies, either purely acoustic or with a small battery powered amplifier. I have a small PA system that is perfect for crowds up to 100, and I can arrange for larger systems if needed.
I also use a small electronic device called a "looper". This device allows me to record my guitar and then immediately play the recording back and use it as a background for guitar solos. It adds a nice change of pace to just the guitar and voice.
As far as my professional background, I have a BA in music, and I served for 22 years as a musician in the United States Army band system. I retired from the Army in 2005 and have been teaching guitar and performing full time since then.
Please note Curt Brady will also travel to Poquoson, Newport News, Yorktown, Seaford, Norfolk, Naxera, Rescue, Battery Park, Carrollton, Bena, Gloucester Point, Lackey, Maryus, Suffolk, Achilles, Portsmouth, Severn, Hayes, Smithfield, Wicomico, Chesapeake, Ordinary, Bavon, Shadow, Susan, Virginia Beach, New Point, White Marsh, Mobjack, Port Haywood.
