Eugene Johnson is a self taught musician who has been playing music for as long as he could remember. Music is a natural part of his life so much that he thought that everyone should be able to do it, but that's not true. He knew at a early age that he wanted to play music. His first exposure to music was when he saw Lionel Hampton play different instrument such as: Drums, Xylophone and various other instruments. Eugene chose the bass guitar because it seemed to be a natural for him. He also decided to sing and play at the same time. You can find Eugene in different clubs around town mainly in a club called "Beale On Broadway" playing the bass and singing with The Ground Floor Band. He has also recorded with The Ground Floor Band. He has also recorded with several international artists such as: Albert King, Oliver Sain, Members Of The Family and has performed with Barbara Carr, Chuck Berry, Kim Massie, and played on cruise ships and a host of others just to name a few. He has written and recorded two songs called "Knocking Boots" and "One Love".
