The Soul Proprietors R&B Band from Richmond, VA

"The Soul Proprietors" are relatively new to the Richmond Music Scene, but they've been honing their craft for a long time. The rhythm section, Jay Copp (drums), Winn Bradley (bass) and Dave Schieferstein (guitar) have well over a century of professional experience between them playing everything from Big Band jazz, to Beach Music, to Rock, Funk, Disco, R&B, and everything in between. Balancing out all of that experience is the youthful exuberance of Logan Beaver (saxophones & keyboards), a member of VCU's Jazz Studies Program, and the "icing-on-our-cake" -- the powerful vocals of the lovely Kelley Allison. "The Soul Proprietors" present a danceable mix of R&B and Soul classics, as well as a choice selection of Classic Rock and Adult Contemporary, with enough creative arrangements, jazz influences, and powerful back-beat rhythms to entertain everyone!* *Please note: For weddings and corporate events, upon request , "The Soul Proprietors" can also play a preliminary "cocktail" set of background music comprised of well-known jazz standards and pop ballads.
