Mizz KT and Friendz is a one woman, interactive show where children learn and play through puppetry and original electronic pop music. Lead by performing arts teacher, Mizz KT (or Catherine Holder), Mizz KT and her puppet friendz have been in the Nashville area for 7 years now making music and shows for all of the young ones of the Middle TN area. With a focus on educational concepts and fun, Mizz KT and Friendz branched out in 2015 to make a YouTube Channel, featuing original music, parody videos, and how to videos for kids every week. Our Birthday Party Shows: We like to party, party! That's why wer'e throwing a party for you and whatever occasion you are celebrating! Whether it's your birthday, your graduation day, or your gotcha-day, Maddie, Lucas, Danny, and Mizz KT are ready with your favorite songs and dances to liven up any celebration. Some of our more popular party themes are: 1. Rock Star Party Get ready to party like a rock star! Everyone dress up in your favorite rock star gear and get ready for your first rock concert with your favorite puppet friends. Extra costumes and instruments included. 2. Pirate Party Maddie, Lucas, and Danny all love to play pretend, just like you! And one of their favorite games is Pirates. Swab the deck and hoist the sail, as you and your friendz embark on a magical pirate journey, you'll never forget! 3. Princess Party Who doesn't want to be royalty for a day? This package could come with our without our puppet friendz. Watch as the silly Mizz KT transforms magically into Elsa from Frozen or the most beautiful princess of all, Cinderella. Princesses and Princes will sing along to all of their favorite songs including, but not limited to "Let It Go," "Part of Your World," and anything else your little princess requests! Puppet Workshops and Classes: We are firm believers in interactive shows, and so we have puppet workshops and classes for every age group. Because as a wise man once said, "Everybody LOVES puppets!" Mizz KT and Friendz will come to your school, library, church, or any other location to teach your group how to make all kinds of puppets and bring them to life! Watch as the students of your class gain the confidence and the savvy to tell stories and express their thoughts through the magic of puppetry. A great workshop for kids, teachers, and friendz with special needs. School, Library, and Church Shows: We have well priced shows that are fun and educational for the whole family. Any and all of these shows can be modified to any of your needs. We also take special requests for shows as well: 1. Move It and Shake It A Show about Fitness and Nutrition A great show to get everyone out of their seats and moving around. Join Maddie, Lucas, Danny, and Mizz KT and they learn about the importance and fun of taking care of our bodies. You'll be dancing and moving to classic songs like "The Hokey Pokey" and "Tootie-Tah" to new and fun hits like "Move It and Shake It." Students will also learn about proper nutrition and how else to take care of our bodies. 2. Counting Down to a Good Time A Show about Math The name of the game is numbers! Learn all about basic math concepts while having the time of your life! Students will practice counting, basic addition and subtraction, and some geometry/patterns. Students will love to count change with Maddie, Lucas, and Danny with their hit hip hop song "Coin." And since we beleive that we learn the best while moving, students will dance and move while learning all of these concepts. 3. Words, Words, Words A Show about Reading The alphabet, reading, and different types of words. A great show that can be adapted for any age group. Through song and dance, students will learn the basic concepts of the English language that will help with literacy skills. Maddie, Lucas, and Danny also help students write their very own story that they will love for a lifetime! 4. Budding Artist A Show about Visual and Performing Arts, including Music and Creative Movement Join Maddie, Lucas, Danny, and Mizz KT as they take their Friendz through the wonderful world of art. Students will make Music with Maddie (with actual instruments), Draw with Lucas, and Dance with Danny (where students will learn both structured and unstructured movement). This fun overview of every facet of art will spark students' imagination and be a great jumping board for any budding artist. 5. Growing Up is Hard to Do A Show about Personal Safety and Making Good Choices Sharing, getting hurt, and making responible choices- growing up is hard to do. But it's so much fun when you've got your friends by your side to help you through. Learn about what to do when you have bad days and how to stay happy. Students will learn life skills in this class that will follow them all the way through adulthood.
