David Nowicki is public speaker and corporate speaker.
David has been involved in engineering and supervision over the past 25 years. He has been a mentor and coach to individuals who have gone on to board positions and leadership position in fortune 100 companies. His list of engineering contributions is long. From executing complex, time constraint projects which needed to be completed in very short windows and required a large amount of resources which included ammonia valve replacements on high pressure 36” ammonia compressor lines. To very cerebral endeavors which required a great amount of research into complex concepts such as using vision systems to measure molten glass flow.
He focuses on mentoring and coaching others, giving them insight into the human experience. To him, his greatest accomplishments are demonstrated through other's achievements.
David has experienced what it's like to be a supervisor on midnight shift or at a board meeting of a fortune 100 company and has been able to thrive in both environments. David was the leader of the utilities group which managed steam systems, high voltage systems, ammonia refrigeration system, high voltage systems, chlorine gas systems, alcohol distillation, CO2 systems and hazardous wastes. He continued and promoted the cultural of safety in the department to maintain a 25 year without a lost time accident while completing over 30 million dollars' worth of capital improvements to a 30 year old plant.
David has also been there when a fortune 100 US lead company was sold to foreign interests. He was there when the week he preparing to sell his house the great housing bubble burst. Forcing to go through his life's' savings in order to stay financially solvent.
At the age of 50, he enrolled in SEAL Fit and completed both the one week and Koro camp. Out of his boat crew which consisted of 8 people, all of whom where ½ his age, he and one other person completed the grueling 40 hour endeavor.
He has weathered many storms both personally and professionally to arrive at a place where he is happy. This a message we can all use and David shares his inner most thoughts on what it takes to be successful for the long and short haul; how you must always move forward; and how to have fun even in the most challenging of times.
