Angela Marie Hutchinson is a producer, casting director, scriptwriter, entrepreneur and published author. A Chicago native with more than a decade of entertainment industry experience, Angela Marie has worked for Warner Bros. Television, MGM and the GRAMMYs. She has been married for 11 years and has two young children.
Currently repped by the Filmtrix Agency as a Casting Director, Angela Marie has cast stars such as Billy Dee Williams, Vanessa Williams and Lynn Whitfield in movies, short films, TV pilots, web series and new media projects. In 2013, Angela Marie produced her first feature film, "Hollywood Chaos," which she wrote and cast, starring Vanessa Simmons. She has also written three books: her comedic memoir "BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD" and two children's picture books "Charm Kids" and "Sepia Girl." Angela Marie is actively developing several film, TV and multimedia projects.
In 2006, Angela Marie served a year tenure as the first African American president of The Scriptwriters Network, since the organization was founded in 1986. In 2005, Angela Marie founded BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD (BiH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps industry professionals pursue their entertainment careers with integrity, creativity and enthusiasm. Under the BiH umbrella, Angela Marie serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Hollywood & Vine magazine, Executive Director of the Hollywood & Vine Film Festival, and Executive Producer of "The BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD Show," which aired daily on Transit TV with over 1.15 million viewers.
An alumni of the University of Michigan, Angela Marie earned her B.S.E. in Industrial & Operations Engineering. She also has a Cross-Media Journalism certificate from USC and was selected to attend The Media Academy at Harvard University. Angela Marie has a strong business and literary portfolio of intellectual properties. In addition, she has edited hundreds of published articles in law, engineering and entertainment. In her leisure time, Angela Marie enjoys rollerblading, mentoring youth and reading inspirational books.
