Stringscalm is a group of musicians whose rigorous classical training
was a launching pad for their discovery of a wide variety of music. In addition to performing traditional classical, rock/pop and jazz music, they have an alter ego Jetset Quartet which DJs, arranges and plays a vibrant jukebox of styles as well as composing songs upon request.
As active performers and recording artists in many areas of the US, including most recently the Pacific Northwest and now Northeast areas of New York & Massachusetts, they have extensive experience in most genres and have enjoyed playing over 708 weddings, special events, other wonderful functions, and counting! In addition to appearing regularly with chamber and orchestral groups, the founder has performed live with Led Zeppelin, the B-52's, Guster, Sarah MacLachlan, The O'Jays, The Temptations, Isaac Hayes, Snow Patrol,and Santogold.

I enjoyed my experience with Stringscalm. Angie was a pleasure to work with. She was enthusiastic and helpful when I was selecting my music. I liked that they had a lot of pop and more modern song options. They arrived early the day of the wedding, got set up, and starting playing as the guests were seated and continued to play through our cocktail hour. I'm glad I had strings and I am really happy with the service provided by Stringscalm.

They were very easy to work with, honest and had a positive attitude throughout the process. The music sounded wonderful. And for difficult pop songs requested, they were upfront about what was unable to be not be performed.
