Amanie Illfated performs original pop/electronic tracks that keeps your guests captivated and covers you favorite hits from the 80's, 90's and '00's to give your guests that nostalgic, sing-along feeling! She is a Sudanese born, Toronto based artist who -- along with being a mesmerizing singer -- has added model and electronic producer to her credits. In addition to a great performance, her classy, comedic personality is sure to entertain both onstage and offstage.
Her original music incorporates dynamic lyrics with an eclectic, often ethnic, sound. Her self-titled debut album (November2015), is a candid expression of Amanie Illfated's paradox-like nature, obscure styling, metaphoric lyrics, her diary-like motif and her clear-toned, youthful voice. The first official single and music video, Letter to Myself, is a cross between pop, hip hop, rock and contemporary orchestration, and opens with the statement: “I am damaged goods."
Amanie Illfated has collaborated with international artists such as Yaba Angelosi (Assida Records), and Nathan Bishop (Uptown Underground Records). She has also performed with the Nigerian pop duo, PSquare, at Ricoh Coliseum and the Calypso inspired, Kobo Town, at Melody Bar in the Gladstone Hotel.
