I have 23 years of performance experience. I also currently teach music for New York City Public Schools. I use quality equipment made by Crown, Gibson, Shure and Takamine.
I got my start performing in an original rock band in my hometown of Milwaukee, WI. We enjoyed performing in front of friends and peers in the Milwaukee area and at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I received my music education degree at the University of Wisconsin as well. The group opened up for many rock groups touring through the area and played a few T.V. shows in Chicago. It was so much fun being in a band and attending one of the biggest party colleges in the country!
After undergraduate school, I began performing with more groups and as a soloist in a wider variety of musical styles. I began performing for weddings and private parties. I also played for the Wisconsin Governor's inaugural ball, as well as local jazz festivals.
I taught music in an art center, public schools, and two colleges in the Madison Wi area. While on faculty at Beloit College, I met a music professor from New York University who was performing at my school. She awarded me a scholarship to get my masters degree at NYU and study abroad in Italy. So I moved out to New York, spent my summers in Italy, and got my masters degree in music!
I met my wife, a New Yorker and dancer, while studying music Italy. We performed together in New York University's New Music Ensemble in Italy. Now we are married, have a family, and live in Scarsdale. I continue to perform and teach music around the New York area. I hope that I can come perform for you sometime!
