Pianist William Perry has established a reputation as a diverse musician, able to successfully perform many different styles of music from classical repertoire to jazz standards and pop hits. In May of 2016, he received a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Florida State University, where he was also a graduate teaching assistant in Piano Pedagogy. In 2013, he received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Stetson University, where he was a Piano Scholar and Duckwitz Award winner. During his studies, William worked with pianists Dr. Joel Hastings, Dr. Michael Rickman and Chris Rottmayer (for jazz piano). William's studies have brought him to many different parts of the world. He has performed in Hawaii, France, Italy, Czech Republic and most recently in the 2015 Dublin International Piano Festival in Ireland, where he gave a performance at the Hugh Lane Gallery and participated in public masterclasses.
William has also been an active performer in jazz and popular music. He performed with the Daytona State Jazz Ensemble and Combos, the Stetson University Jazz Ensemble, and has performed twice at the New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival. In the past five years, William has been active in the local music scenes around Jacksonville and Orlando, FL performing at numerous restaurants, hotels, bars, corporate events, parties and weddings. Recent venues include: Orlando Steinway Gallery, The Renaissance Hotel at the World Golf Hall of Fame, Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens, The Florida Ballroom at Omni Jacksonville, Marriott at Sawgrass, Jacksonville Golf and Country Club, The Shores Resort and Spa, The Grille at Riverview, The Harris House, Arts on Douglas, and The News-Journal Center. At every event, William performs a diverse array of music, specific to each client's needs.
