One of the Northwest's most popular and entertaining artists, pianist/composer Mike Strickland, presents blues, pop, Broadway, jazz, and original music. A gifted arranger and stylist, Mike's sets might include jazz classics, romantic film themes, Mississippi blues, piano-busting boogie-woogie and gorgeous original music. His extremely popular arrangements of Pachelbel's Canon in D and Beethoven's Ode To Joy have been performed in weddings world-wide. His 20 CD's of popular favorites and original music have sold over 300,000 copies. His sparkling arrangements, and exciting piano style make for a very fun and memorable event. Originally from Jackson Mississippi he makes his home in Oregon. He is a one-of-a-kind pianist and has been touring in the USA for the past 15 years with great success. He is known for his exceptional musicianship and a strong connection with his audiences.
Mike performs as a solo, duo, trio (The Mike Strickland Trio), and as a guest pianist with orchestra. Often his daughter Elizabeth, a fine classical pianist, joins him as a special guest in his artful and entertaining performances.
